I own a timber company?

ah, to be so rich that you can't remember what you own. ;)

Bush's Timber-Growing Company

Bush got a laugh when he scoffed at Kerry's contention that he had received $84 from "a timber company." Said Bush, "I own a timber company? That's news to me."

In fact, according to his 2003 financial disclosure form, Bush does own part interest in "LSTF, LLC", a limited-liability company organized "for the purpose of the production of trees for commercial sales." (See "supporting documents" at right.)

that fact was from 2003 it is now 2004 maybe...just maybe.... he doesn't have a minute interest in it anymore.

At least he knows it's Lambeau not Lambert. I was listening to a national sports radio show this morning and the topic was "Would you vote for a man who called Lambeau Field, Lambert Field?" The majority of my fellow sports nuts said no.

yep. That's sure to be an election loser. :p

Or the fact that his favorite baseball player is Manny Ortez, who isn't a real person. Or that his favorite Red Sox player of all-time is Eddie Yost, who never played for the Sox. The fact is, he will say anything to win votes.

Who cares? The sports argument against Kerry is ridiculous... so he's not athletic? At least he knows how to speak eloquently, a trait George W. Bush does not possess... I think most would agree that this is much more important than knowing sports players' teams and names.

I think you guys overestimate the voting intelligence of some voters. I know an undecided voter who decided to vote Bush after watching F 9/11 and the scene where Bush goes "Now watch this drive," because he likes golf and liked Bush's attitude on the course. He thought it made him look like a regular guy and decided then to vote Bush.

This is intelligence? More like a lack of it.
The wood comment was funny! It's not an election for
class president though so I'm voting for the smart guy and
not the funny one. :)
