I now own at the Polynesian!

I just wanted to share my excitement with people who 'get it' - on a cruise this summer I added on 50 points at the Polynesian Resort, my very first (and probably last) add on!
It's taken a while as I had to get extra documents signed and verified (living in the UK!) as well as making payments in lumps based on my credit card limit!
But I can now book at 11 months out and get to experience a resort I've never stayed at - I have always wanted to stay there but didn't get a chance before we purchased DVC and after getting divorced and COVID and all sorts of other set backs I haven't been to WDW for far too long! But everything has aligned, I'm doing a 4 night cruise on the Wish next October and then two the following Easter so should be able to get two stays in!

Welcome home! We only have 60 points there which seemed enough for the longhouses, but after a stay at the new tower we definitely need to add on.

Question, I am still trying to figure out if DVC is for me. I go back and forth! With that 50 point add on, you can only use those 50 points at the 11 month mark to book at the Poly (where they were bought), correct? If you have 100 points at another resort, you have to wait until the 7 month mark to use them with the 50 that were added on, correct? Or, could the entire 150 points be used to book at the Poly at 11 months even though only 50 points are at the Poly? Hope that makes sense!

You will have to wait to book them together at the 7 month window since different resorts have different home resort priorities. If I own one at akv and one at poly I cant mix them until 7 months.
