I Now Have a Double Dining Reservation??

Ugh, what a mess. My travel agent just switched us from a Room Only to a MYW package with dining. I had already made dining reservations while back, so I went into the system to see if they were linked in with that; didn't appear to be.

I thought that maybe if I clicked on the restaurant, typed in the date & time, it would come up? No, but apparently it allowed me to make a SECOND reservation for the same date, same time, same guests!! At least--the confirmation numbers are different!

I didn't think it would allow me to do this, but I guess it did? Now I am afraid to cancel the reservation I just made, because: what if I'm just confused, and it REALLY cancels everything?

Did it really let me make a double reservation, and will this cause trouble if we leave it that way?

AND, how do I link my previous dining reservations that I made in July into the new MYW package I now have?

What should I do?

What should I do?

I'd call dining, explain what happened and ask the CM to fix it for you - just in case the online system is acting "quirky" again. If the times are different, be sure to tell the CM which ADRs you want to cancel.

FWIW, I think you will be fine, especially since the confirmation numbers are different.
 
Your dining reservations are not linked to your resort reservation so when your TA cancelled your room only res and booked a package your dining reservations remained intact.

There's a glitch in the dining res system that has been allowing many people to make reservations within the same time frame instead of asking if they wanted to cancel the original reservation so when you clicked on the restaurant and put in the time and date info you did make new reservations. You can either go online and cancel the ones you don't want or call the dining line and speak with a CM. You will definitely want to cancel any duplicate reservations that include a credit card guarantee or are prepaid. Also, as a precaution print out the confirmations for all of the reservations.
 
I was able to cancel that dining reservation online. Although I can't see them all (because of a glitch, I assume), the system does tell me that I do still have my original dining reservations.
