I never thought I'd do this but...I have an ME Question.

I know ME has its legions of fans but I'm a car renter all the way. I really never ever thought I'd take it. That being said, I have a bit of a unique situation where it may be my best option. My family (minus me) will be traveling to WDW on 11/28. They will be renting a car and going on their merry way. Due to a lack of vacation days I will be going down on 11/30, arriving at about 10am. We will be traveling back to the airport together on 12/3 (in the rental car). It seems foolish to ask my family to come pick me up at the airport cutting into their theme park time.

So here is my thought:
Grab ME to my resort then transfer to whatever park may family is visiting. My family will be taking my clothes so I will just have my backpack.

So the questions are:
Can you take ME one way?
Can only one member of the party take ME?
Does ME need to be used on check-in day or can it be sort of mid-vacation?

If any of these are no I guess I'd have to consider Mears. Will they drop you right at a park? The more I think about it, this may be the way to go. What do you think?

The answer to all of them is yes.

What you want to do is perfectly fine.

Sorry, I don't know if Mears will drop you off at a park. I rather doubt it, but I don't actually know.

be careful, you might just start to like ME.. :) it is honestly a nice start to any vacation. I prefer it over a rental but thats just me..

Not an issue. As long as you are listed on the resort reservation, and have reserved your DME ride, you're good to go. You can reserve DME for the entire group...even if they aren't going to ride it. Then, you can take your voucher (comes in the DME packet) and head to the DME area. Even if it's not the first day of the resort reservation, it's still fine to use it. My dh does that all the time!!!
And yes, you can use it just the one way.

So, be sure that who ever made the reservation, gets DME reserved. And then, when they get the packet, you get your voucher. If, for some reason, you don't get the voucher but are still listed on the DME reservation, you can get a new one printed up at the DME counter at MCO. Then, get on the bus and head to the resort. Get your room key, drop your bag and head off to meet the rest of the family!!!

I also doubt that Mears will drop you at a park. If that's what you really want to do, then I would recommend either a cab or a car service.

I think this thread answers my question as well but wanted to check. Our party is arriving on two separate flights (from different cities) at different times and we all want to take ME. When I get the vouchers, is there one for each person such that I can send the people on the other flight theirs, we can all take ME whenever we get to the airport, and then meet up at the hotel?

Yes.
