I never got the PS reservation

I don't understand how I will know today when I will be hungry or feeling like going out to a restaurant in November. We have never really eaten at a "restaurant" in WDW, but this trip I would like to. We've eaten at "fast food" stands in the park. We are staying at the CBR in November. Can anyone suggest a good restaurant for a nice lunch or dinner that they've enjoyed, and can someone explain what a PS reservation is exactly? The restaurant should be teen friendly - nothing exotic.

Whispering Canyon Cafe is a blast! Ohana and Boma are fantastic. A PS is a time you are given to come and you will get one of the next available tables. It can still mean you might have a short wait, but you will be given priority above walk ins. Check out www.wdwig.com for menus.

PS is like a dinner reservation at any nice restaurant. You show up at your specified time and you should have a table in short order. We make PS for a couple "special" meals. We'll be there Thanksgiving week so we have a PS for Crystal Palace character breakfast (buffet with Pooh and friends) and another for Thanksgiving dinner @Garden Grill (served family style with Mickey and friends) Some of my family's favorites have been LeCelier @WS in Epcot (finer dining steak house, but very family friendly) Chef Mickeys character breakfast @Contemporary, Hollywood & Vine @MGM (buffet character meal). Other than our few "special" meals we just wing it--food court at resort, counter service, etc....I do recommend that you have PS if you want to plan any special meals. We really enjoy it. Have a wonderful trip.

Just wanted to add the buffet at Hollywood & Vine @ Disney Studios is no longer a character meal.

Depending on the time of the year you go, a PS is sometimes necessary due to crowds, especially if it's a popular restaurant such as California Grill, 'Ohana, Hollywood Brown Derby, etc. or when it's for character meals.

If you'd like to eat in the castle, then a PS is a must since the character breakfast is the most popular, and their lunch/dinner is excellent and always busy.

Our favorites for sit-downs are:
'Ohana for dinner
Whispering Canyon for dinner
Boma for dinner
Kona Cafe for lunch
Le Cellier for lunch

Some places that are good that don't take PSs that are definitely worth a try:

Beaches & Cream

Just wanted to add that Priority Seating Arrangements are NOT a reservation. A reservation usually means that when yuo arrive at your specified time, that they have a table waiting for you. For a PS, you arrive at your specified time and they will give you the next available table. It is basically a Fast Pass for dining. You will get in ahead of walk-ups, but there may not be an empty table waiting for you when you check in.

A PS is going to insure that you get a seat at a restuarant that you want to eat at, sometime close to when you want it. I have seen walk-ups sent away from restaurants at busy times.

Try Ohanas or Le Cellier - they have great food, nice atmosphere and are teen friendly. It's a great change from all of those burgers!
