I got laid off yesterday and I"m sitting here listening to Live365 and needing a Fiesta Margarita followed by dinner at Shula's. Then off to JellyRolls for a couple of drinks and some fun and then to Boardwalk Bakery for the next mornings breakfast.

I got laid off from my old job at the end of 2001 and it took me until April of 2003 to find a new one. I did some temp work for a few months and searched profusely, but it was tough. I had a trip planned for last fall, so I cut waaayyy back on spending and had enough $$ put aside to be able to take my trip and still pay all my bills on time.

It stinks being laid off and it's a crappy market out there. But stay determined & positive and you'll make it through.

We may almost be neighbors. I was from 6/01 to 12/01. I know what it's like out there. I just wish I was on Mass Unemployment. But that fiesta margarita sounds good right now.

What is Jellyrolls like?

JellyRolls is singalong type bar. No kids. Can be smokey. They have two sets of "dueling piano players" Their repertoire is IMENSE. We try to go two or three times a trip.

{{{Hugs, Eeyore}}} I was laid off once, years ago, but I still remember what a horrible feeling that was. Have a virtual margarita on me. It's not as potent as the real thing, but sometimes just having company helps.

Thanks for the pics. Only 163 days and I'll be back and pigging out.

Stuff happens in life. My being laid off is trivial compared to some of the things I've seen on this DIS recently. Don't waste the PD on me. There are some people more in need and much more deserving.
