I've put together a list of Orlando and Central Florida links and I'm going to add it as a 'sticky' at the top of the forum. I'm also going to work on a further list for trip planning - Accommodation, Airlines, Tour Operators, Tickets, etc. There are a few things I'll probably move across to the trip planning list (such as car hire) and I need to add restaurants to the Orlando list. It turned into a bit of a labour of love - if I'd known how long it was going to take, I wouldn't have bothered!

Please help me out by pointing out spelling mistakes and faulty links and, if there are other links which could be included, post them to this thread and I'll add them to the list.

Oh, and I hope you have fun exploring. :goodvibes

Cheers, guys. :thumbsup2

Just had a quick peek at the thread, Deb. Wow! :worship: No wonder it's taken you so long! What a fantastic wealth of information you've compiled :thumbsup2

One bit of info I always struggle to find is the phone numbers from the UK for dining reservations. I couldn't see it on your list, but I have only had a quick look so far, so apologies if it was staring me in the face!

Thanks, Hil - just the kind of feedback I need. I'll add phone numbers to the trip planning list which I'll be getting around to when I've got nothing on for a year! :rotfl:

That is great thank you very much. I haven't been before so I can't tell you if it is missing anything I just wanted to say thanks. A friend brought back for me a heap of those coupon books and tourist brochures so I have been reading through those for my planning but now all the links are in one place so very helpful.

Cheers Kirsten

Of course ... if I'd properly read your first post on this thread I would have realised the trip planning info wouldn't be on the Orlando/Central Florida sticky! :headache:

(or I could just pretend I was making a suggestion for the trip planning thread when you do it :) )

RESPECT Mrs, that is awesome, just had a quick nosy about - theres my Sunday gone, I have a feeling that I am going to be pouring over the links for hours this afternoon, thanks Deb,I am forever looking for new things that might interest us.

Thanks for this, a very comprehensive list which I am sure visitors to these threads will appreciate. One link to add if you have time - I stayed in a villa close to the omni resort at Champions Gate last year and there was a recommendation for the spa located at the Omni hotel, so I thought I may as well supply the link, it may be useful for people staying in this area - http://www.omnihotels.com/spas/orlando/index.html . Once again thanks for the links

Hi,
May I just say I think this is a great idea! One thing off the top of my head is there's a LBV location for Pirate's Cove Mini Golf as well as the I-Drive one at
http://www.piratescove.net/location/4

If I think of anything else I'll add it!

When we were in WDW in oct 2007, we took a taxi to the Titanic Experience, as my DS 4 is MAD on it!!! It was on International Drive, and if that is the same one that is on your link, then I'm afraid it is no more!
After paying around $26 in the taxi, we got there to find it had closed 3 weeks earlier, some of the exhibits were being auctioned off, and no one knew if it would ever re-open, as the site it was on is being redeveloped. We asked at the tourist info, who said there was hope that it would be rebuilt somewhere else, but no one really knew. To say my son was gutted was an understatement!. However, if by some chance the one on your link is a different one, let me know, as we are planning to go back to WDW next year.

Hi Deb,just wanted to say what a busy girl you have been and excellent info, well done :thumbsup2 .x.

The Titanic Experience has now moved to the Orlando Science Centre.x.

Excellent resource Debs. I'll be sure to use this a lot in our trip planning :)

Now that's one impressive list!

I can't help you with anything that you've missed as I didn't know about many of the things on there to start with!

Nice job Deb, I'm sure this will prove useful to many people.

:worship: Deb - it is just fantastic.

:surfweb: there's no hope for me cutting my time spent DISing now;)

Brilliant!!

Have you any links to scuba-diving centres around kissimmee?
Our DS had just completed his basic PADI training and we are hoping to finish off his training by doing his open water dives in Florida while on holiday this summer (too cold to do it here just now!!!!!)
