I need your help!

We're planning a 90th bday party for my grandma and plan on having a slide show of pics of her life thru the years. However, I cant come up with any songs to go with it.

I thought about THru the years, Those were the days, Remember When, Yesterday When I was Young...........

Not thinking we want love songs which those seem to be, or atleast not appropriate for 90th bday. FYI her husband passed away 11 years ago....

Can you help me think of any? I would truely be grateful.

Well, a couple recommendations and two suggestions:

"We Are Family" (Sly and the Family Stone?) is a nice, upbeat one.

"The Times of Your Life" (aka, the Kodak song) is a slower, more sentimental one.

Did she and her DH have a song?

Suggestions: More than one song. Maybe start more upbeat and go sentimental towards the end?

Suggestion 2: Keep your radio tuned to a light rock station as much as you can. When you hear a possible candidate, write it down. In a week or two, you'll probably have several good choices. I would go more comfortable songs, rather than sappy or too emotional. Good luck.

I'd do a World War II era, big band search. you'll find a bunch of stuff. Maybe a search for 1930's and 40's songs from from her teen and 20-something years.

She is 90 why don't you ask HER what some of her fav. music was? I know my parents loved the big band era. Music of HER time might be more meaningful to her.
