DS9's best friend's little sister was in a devastating ski accident on Sunday. While they are optimistic that she will survive, she does have a traumatic brain injury and many broken bones in her skull. Her recovery will be long and difficult. Please send any extra prayers, healing thoughts, pixie dust or virtual hugs to Lia. Here's a link to her caring bridge website if you are interested in updates:

Thanks, all. I know I can count on my DISers to send help whenever needed.

*******Quick update! Lia is doing much better than anyone expected. Her vision is still damaged, and may be for some time, but she can see enough to read (a little). She is walking around a bit and taking her pain meds orally, so many fewer IVs are needed. Overall, everyone is quite pleased with her progress. It will still be a long road to recovery, but she's improving everyday. Thanks again for the prayers and pixie dust. They always help!
