i need walkie talkies

can anyone offer me some advice on buying/renting some walkie talkies

i notice i can buy them here but i dont know what type or what ones will work in orlando

Hi Biggie,

I havn't bought one myself yet but i'm going to when we arrive.
You can buy them at Wal Mart i think, If you use the search facility you will find previouse threads on this subject,

You will need to buy them state side as the ones over here are on the wrong frequency,

You will need to get ones with sub channels as lot of people have them you wil need to pick a clear channel.

We bought Motorollor 5200 when we we last out there, They are a must !!!

ive been looking through and it looks like some people have taken the option of buying a pay as u go mobile for over there.

if i had a triband phone can i buy a pay as u go sim over there to use in the phone?

I bought FRS (Family Radio Service - the US network) Motorola 6210 on eBay. Total cost was £35 including shipping. They are reconditioned but work fine. They usually have a pretty good choice of FRS radios on eBay, although they can get expensive sometimes.
