I need to see your park bag for Universal!

I used the Vera Bradley Mini-Hipster when I was in Universal this past April and just last week when I was at Cedar Point and Holiday World. I would put it under my t-shirt across my shoulders when I went on rides and never had a problem. I put my smaller camera, lipstick, money, small suntan lotion and id.

Good to know. When I carried my VB mini hipster they made me put it in the lockers, but I wore it as a crossbody bag, on top of my clothes. Didn't think about putting it under my tshirt. Also to the person who asked about using a wristlet. Twice I've seen ladies carrying them be told they were considered a loose item and had to be placed either in their pockets or in the lockers. Both times was on FJ.

wow..this is really confusing..would i be ok with a crossbody bag and my husband puts it under his tshirt.

Does Universal have anything on their website that specifies their rules for bags on rides? I think I'll go today and buy a cheap, small waist bag (does that make it sound less lame than fanny pack? ;) ) and then post a picture of it in hopes someone will assure me I won't have trouble on rides with it... ha! Of all the things to worry about, right?

As long as it doesn't impede the restraints and it has no chance of flying off, that should work fine. But you couldn't wear it with the strap exposed.

No, there aren't any specifications. Just keep the pack small with a three prong clasp and you should be fine. The bag will seem a lot less lame as you walk past those waiting in the line for lockers, lol.

Hee! That's a good way to think of it. I was just reading a trip report about the locker madness at Forbidden Journey. Do they usually let you on that ride with the bag you posted, damo, or does that one not allow even fanny packs?

I have never had a problem with any fanny pack. I'm not a huge fanny pack fan either so I always try to get something that is very small.

Bags are permissible on most rides, either on the ride vehicle's floor, off to the side, or in provided compartments. The important thing is that they must not interfere with the restraint.

The following rides are the ones with Restrictions/Required (Free) Lockers:
Hulk
Dragon Challenge
Forbidden Journey
MIB
Rockit
ROTM

On those 6, many hip packs are permissible as long as they don't interfere with the restraint. Anything else: pocket or locker.

Noone ever commented about this wrist wallet. Would I be able to wear this on the rides?

Marsha

You'll probably be asked to put that in a pocket or locker for the Required Rides. You should be fine everywhere else.

Many times families have members who don't want to ride the thrilling attractions (those are the ones that require the locker) and I recommend leaving the bag with them because just the line to get a locker can be so long.

Seriously? It has the three point prong buckle, so its not going anywhere. It would be more likely to come out of my pocket than off my arm. Do you think if I fastened the 3 point prong to a belt loop, they would count it as a tiny fanny pack? The only reason I bought it was to NOT have to use the lockers at IOA/US.

i have noticed the tm's asking peeps to put the wrist ones in their pockets.

i don't know what to tell you.
i'm thinking with it fastened to your belt loop would be passable but i don't make the decisions .........
if i did, everyone would get in free on fridays.......

maybe send an email to guest services and ask them if it is allowed?
then keep the reply in case you have any issues.

put it in your wrist wallet...

That would probably suffice. :)
