I recieved a pin code yesterday to my email address. However, I cannot use it because it is in my MIL's name. I called WDW Travel to have them remove her and the CM told me there is no way, it stays in the system forever since I put her as part of our household. So until MIL does she will continue to get the codes here and I will be SOL.

Has anyone ever had someone removed form your information before? I find this to be quite messed up.

I have read that it is good for the entire household, so if you have the same address as her, you should be fine. I only read that here, though, never called WDW to confirm.

I would try another cm with your pin code, they repeated back my email address so maybe another cm will make the ressie since you have your code.

The thing is that right now I don't really want a ressie, but what if I do in the future? I have gotten them for her before and now is the first time I am lookin into it.

Make your next ressie info with another email address? Tell them your email changed? I really dont know...

I was thinking about having her call them and saying that she moved. She can act like she is inquiring about some prices or something and wants her info. changed.

This exact scenario just happened for our trip next week. We were already booked and low and behold a pin post card shows up in my Dads name. I was so excited but when my Travel agent tried to apply it Disney would not allow it. So My husband called and explained we ALL live at the same address and he that we are co-owners of the home. She made an inquiry with her supervisor and then went into the system. There were two seperate addresses listed (same address) one in my hubbys name and one in my Dads name. She combined the names into one address and said that future mailings would come to both of them. We were allowed to use the pin and saved a sizable amount!!

Its been reported here many times.. as long as YOU live at the address on the postcard that's the big thing.

If a CM tells you no about this -- ask to speak to a supervisor.

OK what if I get a postcard for the previous owner of the home? I have lived here for 4 years and they have not lived here that entire time. I get pin codes all the time for them but none for me. Can I still use them?

Glad to hear someone has some common sense at CRO!

I can only imagine how mad I would be if my daughter and I decided to take a trip together (which we are doing in Sept) and the pin comes addressed to my husband but because he would not be joining us, even though he lives at the same address, we would not be able to use the code! :furious: That just makes no sense!

Now, admittedly, since my husband is a pilot he qualifies for airline employee discounts at WDW which we can't have if he doesn't stay with us. However, that reasoning I completely understand. But to mail him a promotional code to our address and we can't use it - that would make my blood boil!

We've seen before that CRO accepted this as long as THAT is your actual address. Not off by a digit.. it much match exactly.

Now.. that said - policy may have changed -- but I would certainly speak to a supervisor should this come up.

Sorry, you are incorrect. If the person to whom the PIN offer is address DOES NOT RESIDE at the address to which the offer has been sent then the current resident is not eligible for the offer. PIN offers are NON TRANSFERRABLE.
