A Character From the Movie: Toy Story

Common or Rare: Pretty Common! (Click to see more!)

Best Place To Find This Character (in our opinion): Al's Toy Barn at Disney-MGM Studios;

Your Chances of Finding This Character: Excellent!

Remember - This is all our humble opinion - we are just tourists, too! Everything is always changing! And sometimes you just need to be there the right week!

General Info: Woody is the classic pull-string cowboy from the two Disney-Pixar Toy Story movies. In the Disney World parks, he is very easy to find - he almost always can be found daily at Al's Toy Barn at Disney-MGM Studios. He makes appearances there on and off all throughout the day, usually with Buzz Lightyear and also sometimes Jessie. Woody usually uses a stamper for autographs at MGM. As of Fall 2004, Woody also started doing meets in the Diamond Horseshoe at Magic Kingdom. At this location, he wrote his signature. It's unusual for a character to sign in one spot, and stamp in another! He can be found at the Diamond Horseshoe most days, also with Jessie and rarely Bullseye.

Howdy! Where our family met Woody:

Jan 2006 - Diamond Horseshoe in Frontierland (Magic Kingdom)
Jan 2006 - Al's Toy Barn (Disney-MGM Studios)
Dec 2005 - (Christmas Party) - Diamond Horseshoe in Frontierland (Magic Kingdom)

Oct 2005 - (Halloween Party) - Diamond Horseshoe in Frontierland (Magic Kingdom)
Oct 2005 - Diamond Horseshoe in Frontierland (Magic Kingdom)
April 2005 - Diamond Horseshoe in Frontierland (Magic Kingdom)
Nov 2004 - Diamond Horseshoe in Frontierland (Magic Kingdom)
Nov 2004 - Al's Toy Barn (Disney-MGM Studios)
April 2004 - Al's Toy Barn (Disney-MGM Studios)
Jan 2004 - Al's Toy Barn (Disney-MGM Studios)
Oct 2003 - Al's Toy Barn (Disney-MGM Studios)

There was a post here a while back where someone said they were at a Disney Store and a child said to his Mom,

"I don't need a lot of toys... all I want is a Woody and a little Buzz."

A gal working in the store said (to no one in particular) "Don't we all!"

:goodvibes

That post is what I thought of when I read the subject line.
I work in a Disney Store and I've heard these statements so many times and I always have to chuckle to myself. I heard one little boy say out loud to his Grandpa, "Look Grandpa, I have a Woody!" His Grandpa turned all shades of red! :rotfl:
I also saw Woody, Buzz, Jessie and Bullseye together at Al's Toy Barn in MGM. It was great getting a picture with all of them!!! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: :lmao: I had to smile...I was a CM at a Disney Store when the movie came out a man came to the cashwrap area at holiday time and I without even thinking about anything other than how to get an add on sale asked him "if he'd like a Woody to go along with your Buzz today?" as soon as it was out of my mouth I wanted to die or at the very least crawl under anything I could. He smiled and blushed and I smiled and blushed all of the other guests within earshot got a good laugh. Needless to say fellow CM's were teasing me about the extra guest service I offered  ...gotta love the people that came up with those names....However the Woody your looking for we have always been able to see at MGM (and sometimes the green army men are there too!)

I want to personally thank each and every one of you, not only for your fine examples of extreme restraint but also for the best laugh I've had in a long, long time!

:teeth:

You can see them at Al's Toy Barn. Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Bullseye, and even a Green Army Man. You can also see tham at the Diamond Horseshoe. That's usually just bullseye, Jessie and Woody.

I forgot about this story

I went to the Disney on Ice Toy Story when my nephew was little and he wanted a large Woody doll

so I started asking every concession stand if they had a Big Woody - I didn't realize what I was saying until my sister pointed it out!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Just wanted to say thank you all for my one good laugh for the day. To the OP, I hope you have no trouble finding what you are looking for!!!! I had more than one in my house at one time but we misplaced one during a move, and the other one got eaten by the neighbor's dog. Haven't been able to find one since!!!!

You did the best you could though, I mean there's no good way to ask that question....large Woody, bigger Woody, asking for it based on the inches, even what size Woody's do you have...none of that would have been any better. That doesn't mean I wouldn't be :rotfl: if I was walking by you and heard that question.

I think I'm gonna try this on our next trip. My DS4 IS a huge Toy Story fan. I wonder how I'd go about this... "Excuse me, I'd like to buy my son a Woody, where could I find one about 10-12 inches?" On second thought... maybe I shouldn't.

Thanks fot the laugh. :lmao:
Dh has been deployed for about 7 weeks so far...so I needed a laugh. And I won't comment on my need for a Woody. :rotfl2:
