I was so excited to snag a FD package during the 2nd release (so after thinking my trip was a no go for nearly a week) I happily jumped over and made all my ADRs and did well getting what I was looking for.

Except our stay is Aug. 27 arrival, Sept. 03 check out. Which means 7 night stay... and I for some reason thought 8, therefore booked eight ADRs.

Now I have to decide who goes. Note we are not foodies, this is our 3rd Disney trip (2nd in four years). I booked based on what my family of 5 likes as well as trying new restaurants we have not been to before that looked interesting.

We do have park hopper, but don't really want to use it unless necessary so most dinners are also booked at the park we plan to explore that day. I also booked well past the 180day so was impressed with what I got, but many other options were already booked.

So I have

Late dinner at Saana
Tusker House lunch
Evening dinner Nine Dragons
O'hana lunch/brunch
Evening dinner Boathouse
Lunch at 50s Prime Time
Dinner at Shutters

I know common sense says cancel Boathouse because that is two credits, than I can still book elsewhere and enjoy...but the menu looks appealing to me so I really wanted to try it. My 50s Prime time lunch and Shutters dinner are also the same day, so again I can cancel one of those...we have never tried either.

Couple options...

Keep them all and just pay for one out of pocket.

Or, I've never eaten there, but haven't heard the best things about Nine Dragons. Maybe cut that one. Since I assume that's your Epcot day, just use some CS and snack credits to sort of try different places in World Showcase. Share some CS meals, fill in with snacks at the different countries. Could be a fun way to try a bunch of different things!

I would cancel Shutters and eat quick service at the resort that night.

I, personally, would cancel Nine Dragons. Heard lots of bad reviews, can get decent Chinese food anywhere and there are better uses of a TS credit, IMO (more expensive places).

I would cancel Nine Dragons. EPCOT has really good CS restaurants.

I agree with the suggestion of paying OOP and 50s PTC would be the best candidate for that.

If you absolutely need to cancel one, then I also agree with the others on this one with Nine Dragons. I don't have any personal experience there myself, but there are a lot of great QS options in Epcot, especially WS.

My DH always questions whether FD is free because we always book more ADR's and pay OOP. Have you thought of sharing? We will sometimes split at a few meals at TS/CS restaurants due to not wanting to eat a lot in the heat.

Late dinner at Saana - This is a keeper

Tusker House lunch - Characters are so cute in their safari outfits

Evening dinner Nine Dragons - This always gets mixed review, we haven't been in a while but our last visit was good. I would try it then you will know for next time or maybe Teppan Edo which is fun for everyone, food and service are good.

O'hana lunch/brunch - This is a very popular spot, the one thing is that the tables turn slowly, so make sure you have a snack in case the wait goes longer than it should.

Evening dinner Boathouse - I would keep this one, we haven't had a chance to try it yet, but it looks great and mom and dad deserve a nice meal for taking everyone on a magical vacation.

Lunch at 50s Prime Time - This might be the one I would cut, the options for me are on the heavier side and with the heat/humidity and all that walking, would not be a good combo.

Dinner at Shutters - Here you could pay oop, if you wanted to keep it. We had dinner here last year... and it's not on our fav's list, they just seem behind the whole time, and to get the check.. the right check, the server gave us the wrong check, so we flagged her down and told her this is the wrong check, okay she said and off she went, 15 minute latter she came by and again she we asked for the correct check, still no check about 15 minutes later finally I went up to the host stand , so the manager came over, and got us checked out. We got a half hearted apology, so for us it will be a while before we try again.

I would keep them all and pay oop for one if that is doable with your budget.

If I had to jettison one of these, it would probably be Shutters. I have never been, but the vast majority of reviews I have read have not been favorable.

Glad you got it worked out! These reservations can drive us a little bonkers sometimes! :goodvibes

I would ditch 9 Dragons, share CS lunch and dinner in Epcot. There are awesome places to eat here and plenty of restaurants with large portions that make sharing one meal between two make sense.

My family liked Shutters so I'm glad you kept that one.
