Okay, I'm a bit excited, and hope I'm not setting myself up for a big dissappointment, but there's a POSSIBILITY that we may get to take a very short WDW vacation at the end of August. A friend of the family, who lives in Tampa, is getting married on August 27. So, my thoughts are if we go down for the wedding, we should at least go to WDW for 2 days! RIGHT? :teeth: Okay, so I'm now trying to work out the whole cost thing to present to DH. Since this would be a last minute trip, we'd have to stay at a budget resort.. fine...now for ticket prices... on our last trip, my FIL bought our tickets for us through the military. We won't be able to do that this time, so now I need to find out what's the cheapest place from which to buy them? Help!

Please send some :wizard: this way for me!! :goodvibes

Here are some prices from Disney (the best I could find!).

Magic Your Way Base Ticket One Park Per Day (No Hopping - No Plus Options) Expires 14 Days After First Use

Adult 10+ $126.74 (with tax)
Child 3-9 $102.24 (with tax)

Magic Your Way Park Hopping Ticket No Plus Options Expires 14 Days After First Use

Adult 10+ $164.01 (with tax)
Child 3-9 $139.52 (with tax)

Ticketmania and Maple Leaf Tickets have discount tickets if you need tickets for 3 days or more. Also on the mousesavers newsletter they often have extra discounts on tickets through either Ticketmania and Maple Leaf if you get that (I don't have mine from April, but maybe someone does (or you can subscribe now and probably make the cutoff for the mailing on May 15 (www.mousesavers.com))).

Hi Holly,
Great to hear you're heading back. (I'm the one who wasin your parade photos :) We're planning our return trip for November...can't wait.

I don't have the prices in front of me, but 2 day passes are somewhat pricey. Can you consider buying a longer ticket for 2 trips. That's what I'm probably goign to do. My DH needs a 3 day ticket (the rest of us have APs from our December trip, and my DH has 2 Hopper days left from the last trip). Anyhow, it's much cheaper to get him a 8 or 9 day pass, 3 days for this trip and 5 or 6 for another trip. You'll have have to look at the numbers, but you'll see what I'm talking about. If you know you'll wnat to do a 5 or 6 day trip down the road, it might be a good way to go.

As for the value resorts, your kids will get a kick out of them. The icons are cute. Great for photos!! I'd say hurry up and book Pop or All Star Movies now. All Star Movies definitley books up, and I would guess Pop Century might, too.

Both offer basically the same thing, but Pop is much newer (which you can tell in the rooms) and has its own buses. But, I liked the food court better and the overall layout of the bulidings at the All Star Movies .

The biggest difference to me is the icons...which would your kids enjoy more?

All Star Movies has Toy Story, Fantasia, Dalmatians, Mighty Ducks, and the Love Bug.

Pop Century has Lady & the Tramp, Jungle Book, Play Dough, Twister, Potato Heads and more.

We stayed 7 nights at each our last trip in December. You can't go wrong with either one, really, for a 2 day trip. Enjoy!!

Thanks!! I'm still trying to convince DH to do it! LOL He's not sold on the idea of going during August. He says it'll be way too hot. But I thought I ought to get all my ducks in a row to help him in his decision making! LOL Regardless, we are going back in late 2006/ early 2007 for sure!

I don't know of any ticket options other than the ones usually mentioned but I just wanted to wish you good luck on getting to go back in August...sending you lots of pixie dust that it all works out! :wizard:
