And since most posters here seedm to have visited WDW frequently, I value their opinion. That said my xmas present to dh is a trip to bwv, 1st time for him, i havent been in over 15 yrs, so it will be like new to me, after the holidays i want to start making ressies, I dont think we are gonna do the meal pla (who knows thats up to him) but I would appreciate your picks on restaurants, doesnt matter cheap or expensive, and if u have time why u like and what kind of food... THANKS :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish:

These are my favorite places to dine at WDW:

Crystal Palace -- I like dining here because there is such a great selection of food.
Cindy's (dinner) -- I really enjoy their prime rib, but I hear the menu may change to a prefixed one.
O'Hana's -- Food is great and plentyful
California Grill -- Really enjoyed the food (especially the dessert) here and the views are incredible. Try to get a PS when Wishes is scheduled. You can view them either from your table or from their private balcony.
Whispering Canyon Cafe -- Had the fried chicken for lunch and everything was hot & tasty.
Rose & Crown -- Location, location, location. The food is great here. Try to get a PS for 1 to 1 1/2 hours prior to Illuminations and request a patio table. Make sure to re-request this when you check in. This way you can enjoy a great meal, then sit back and watch Illuminations from the comfort of your table while you have dessert (the apple crisp is fantastic).
Le Cellier -- the steak's here are very good
50's Primetime Cafe -- love this place! The atmosphere is fun and the food is hot and tastly. Always get the fried chicken and have never been disappointed.
Tusker House -- the chicken here is great and this is a cs place (but by the quality of the food, you'd never know it). There is outside seating over on the patio near the water, which makes it quiet.
Spoodles -- I enjoy the pasta here.
Casey's (cs) -- this is a fun place to grab a hot dog & fries for a quick meal.

Here's my list of favorites:

Artist Point - The best. Excellent service, great food, and a great location, especially for a nice stroll after dinner.

Chefs de France - Superior food quality, wonderful ambiance, great service.

Citricos - Also superior food quality, the best service I've ever experienced at WDW, very refined atmosphere.

Jiko - Wonderfully exotic, great service, very friendly.

Spoodles - Good food, very accommodating, and excellent location.

Narcoossee - Good food, good service, good view.

Brown Derby - Great food, great service, great location.

California Grill - Nice menu, great view, okay service, decent food.

Flying Fish - Excellent seafood, middling service, iffy atmosphere.

Rose & Crown - Yummy food if not very sophisticated, gregarious and friendly service if not very expert, and if you're very lucky, a good view of Illuminations.

You can start making your dining ressies now (180 days out). From your ticker I notice that you're 4 months out from your vacation. You may want to look at some popular dining options and book them now. You can always change them later after your husband has looked at them. I wouldn't try to wait until after holidays, especially the time you're going is around spring break, one of the busier times.

I've never had a bad meal anywhere. We went to the 50's Prime Time for the first time this past trip and were VERY happy. The best meatloaf I've ever had ( other than my mom's ;) ) and the price was more reasonable than I thought it would be, $110 for 3 apps, 4 adult dinners, 1 child dinner and 2 desserts. My dad is talking about the next time we go, which won't be for 5 years maybe! He doesn't say that much about a restaurant.

Oops - me bad. Can't count :)

Oh thank god! I got nervous for a second, I went on Spring Break in college, and I dont specifically want to relive it again, I think I may still be recovering from all those years ago.
