I need Teen opinions!

Hello,

I need the opinion of teenagers and thought you guys could help. I teach 8th grade (13 and 14 year olds) and at various times throughout the year I have small contests and give away prizes. The problem is finding something that the guys like. I have the girls covered. I just give small bottles of Bath and Body Works, gel pens, things like that that I like . But, I never know what to give the guys so I always give candy. I would like to do something besides that though. I thought you all might have some suggestions. It has to be small and very inexpensive b/c for each contest I need a winner in each class. Any ideas? If you have girl ideas too, feel free to share. Thanks so much!

How bout those little finger skateboards? I don't know how much they are, but when I was in 8th grade, alot of the guys in my class got them taken away by the teacher! lol! Sorry, but that's all I can think of now. Hope it helped.

Hrm. I think thinking back to when I was in 8th grade isn't such a good idea, because what was cool 4 years ago isn't exactly now...um...maybe CD's? or...blockbuster/the wall gift cards?

I give a blockbuster gift card as the prize for whoever practices the most in a week, with my students.

You could get them Movie passes or like Joe said Blockbuster gift cards, they sell ones for like $5

umm....free video rentals at blockbuster or hollywood video.
thats all I can really think of!

Thanks for the ideas, everyone! It sounds like the movie passes would be a great idea and I would never have thought of that.
