I say try out Lost and West Wing. Ooh and Zephyr Hawk says Firefly, I totally agree with that one.

I know someone explained Lost before. I'm in the middle of watching 3rd season on DVD and it's fantastic

West Wing is a show about the White House and some of what goes on in it. It's very well writen, the characters are smart and interesting, the dialog is quick and often very funny, but also deals with real world situations. It shows points of view from both Republican and Democrat sides so you can really understand why a person might believe something from the other side.

Ooh, I'll have to agree with Firefly and The West Wing as well. The West Wing is still my favorite television show of all time; by far the gold standard in terms of television writing and acting.

I am 27 and my husband and I
LOVE the Gilmore Girls, LOST, Grey's, and Smallville
1st few episodes of Smallville a little weird but then it gets good.
Also 24 is good especially watching it on DVD's after we caught up and had to wait weeks in between it wasn't as good.
