Tonight my husband and I are going to his sisters boyfriends 30th bday party. It's a surprise party at a function hall. There will be about 100 people there.
The question is, this is sin't a gift giving event, right? Ive never gone to a birthday party for an adult before. I just can't see 100 people giving gifts, that sounds like a wedding. Will we be embarrassed if we don't have a gift for him?
I did think at first I would bring a card. But, when ever you hand someone a card in a party atmosphere, it would be expected that money would be in it.
Now I do expect some people, like his family, to have gifts for him. Am i safe to assume most won't?
