We check in at asmo on oct 8th a friday we plan to do a chef mickey dinner at 6 and the mnsshp that night.

Sat. We are moving to WL i have a 12:30 lunch at whispering caynon schedule but i'm not certain that's so smart. How long should i expect it to take to take our things and car to WL we'll take our luggage with us to stowe at the WL. I'd like to think we could do a park that morning maybe AK or MGM i want to be in MK that evening/night for the parades and wishes.

Sunday i'd like to do a park in the morning and then in the late afternoon do a different park.

Monday i'd like to do two parks with a rest in after lunch time.

I need suggestions for my park days. I was thinking of doing AK sat morning then mk saturday evening. THen sunday do mgm it's ee morning then epcot that night. THen hit the mk monday morning and epcot that night. I'd like to do a ps for sat, sun and monday should i move the whispering caynon meal to another day and when? Where to eat lunch sat and sunday. I'd like to do a supper at epcot sunday night for the planned meal but when and where are my questions? Traveling will be me 35, 37dh, dd4, dd4. Thanks so much.

Hi, you may not be aware of it but I've been told by central reservations that if you're moving from resort to resort, as we are too, that they will move your luggage for you. Thye'll keep it at the bell station until you arrive. You could go to the park early, if you wish, then pop over to WL for your PS at lunch. Then, take the boat to MK or CR and ride the monorail to TTCif you wish to go to another park. Last year, during spring break, we left Hotel Royal Plaza in the Disney VIllage because we were unhappy and moved to the CR. We arrived at around 10:30 expecting to drop our luggage and take the monorail and were told that we could go on to our room. The Disney hotels are very accomodating. With the Halloween weekends going on, however, your room may not be ready early, though. WE're doing the same thing, moving from the WL on Friday AM to the Poly. MAybe we'll see each other!

Hey there! If I understand correctly, you currently want to do AK Saturday morning, then go to WL for lunch at 12:30, then do MK in the evening. Personally I think that's pushing it. You'll have had a late night the night before due to MNSSHP. In order to make it worth your while to go to AK or MGM, you'd have to be checked out of your hotel and on your way to AK/MGM no later than 8:30. That would still only give less than three hours at AK/MGM in order to make your way to Whispering Canyon for a 12:30 lunch. I think you have two options here. 1) Forget the Whispering Canyon Lunch. Go to AK in the morning (I suggest AK because Sat is MGM's EE day. Saturday is usually a good AK day in my experience) and have lunch there. When you've finished your touring (maybe around 1-2 o'clock), make your way to WL to check in. Maybe take a nap or a swim break and then head to MK for the evening. 2) Forget AK in the morning. Sleep in a little and take your time making your way to WL. Get there around 11:30 and see if maybe your room is ready. If it is, you can get settled. If not, you can tour the resort prior to your 12:30 lunch. After lunch, go to MK.

Sunday: You've stated it's MGM's EE day. That's not correct. It is MK's EE day. I still think you should stick with your plan to do MGM and Epcot on this day. You'll have a lot of dinner options at Epcot. Don't forget about the Boardwalk area restaurants as an option as they are a short walk from the back entrance to Epcot.

Monday: This will depend on what you did on Saturday. If you did AK, then I think you should do MK in the morning and Epcot in the evening. If you didn't do AK on Saturday, then I would do AK and Epcot on Sunday and MGM and MK on Monday. Or do MGM and whichever park you'd like to return to based on what you haven't already done.

Hope this helps. I'm sure you'll get lots of other ideas too.

I was thinking of skipping a morning in the parks altogether too but i know us we'll be up and ready to go at the lastest 8:30 and that would be sleeping in. I'm usually up at 6:30 and the kids by 7 so we could be out the door by 7:30 at our leisure. We don't plan to stay up really late friday maybe 11 at the latest. I thought we could skip the lunch and do a park. The switch is a surpise so i'm on my own to keep it that way. I'll have to have a reason for taking the car to WL my husband wants to "tour" it while we are there. I thought we'd do a park then tour WL at lunch and maybe check in. I don't know what's best to do. I figured 3 hours at AK or MGM would be enough to see most of the things we want to see then we could go back to the one we like best another day maybe monday to get another look. Any suggestions on eating places for lunch at AK or MGM i think we'll be there sat, sun either way at those two parks. For suppers i'm not really sure what to do. I'd like to do whispering caynon but i'm not sure when to fit it in. Maybe sunday for lunch since we'll be there and settled. We could go to MGM then back to WL for lunch and a nap.

One thing to know about both AK and MGM, a lot of the attractions are shows with specific times to see them. These shows range from18 minutes to nearly a half hour. That makes it hard to fit a lot into 3 hours.

Good luck with your decision.

B'rer Karen is right, the best thing to do is have the resort move your luggage to the new hotel, they provide the service so why not take advantage of it. Just remember, to pack a small bag with any medications or maybe a change of cloths just in case the transfer gets delayed and have the bag in your car. With two small mouseketeers I would skip the Whispering Canyons lunch and set up something at the park. If its MGM and you want a sit down meal have lunch at the Prime time Cafe; if it's AK try the Rainforest. Go back to the new hotel after you feel like you did enough in the morning park and not before or maybe go after the second park is completed! You are on vacation, don't worry about changing into the next hotel until you are good and ready. You bags will be there waiting for you when you check in. Don't waist park time checking into the next room. Do that when your schedule fits it in and not before. I know other DISer will have other great places to eat at either MGM or AK. We love to share great ideas.
