Thank you everyone! After two glasses of wine, a slightly overdramatic cry on DH's shoulder and a one-sided conversation of career goals with the dog, I feel pretty great about what's going on. I had all my eggs in one (client) basket so now I need to go back to square one and decide what's right for me in life. Continue on the path I'm on now (that's Market Research Road) or take a right and head towards my passion (that's Psychology Blvd.)?

Anyone made a dynamic career change in life?

P.S. I just took a leap of faith last month with a new job and have not looked back. It was the best decision I could have made for us long term and although I was very scared and anxious, it has all worked out better then I could have ever imagined.

Gave my notice at work a few weeks ago, and am enrolled in Nursing school for this fall........career change at 29 This is something I know in my heart I needed to do but it was the toughest decision I have ever made.

Glad to hear that you are feeling better. In my opinion, psychology sounds far more interesting than your current career. It seems like it would not be too big of a change since you have an educational background in that area already. I say crack open a bottle of ice wine and celebrate a career change...or just crack open a bottle of ice wine for the hell of it since it tastes so yummy and is fun to drink!

Anyone made a dynamic career change in life?

I did ~ Gained my degree in psychology and although I enjoyed the job I was doing I still felt unfulfilled. Decided to retrain and 2 months ago I gained my Masters in Counselling. I love the job I'm doing now.

Sorry to hear you are having a rough time I changed careers 7 years ago and I am so glad that I did. I went from working in real estate (marketing coordinator) to being a consultant in the metals industry (primarily steel). It was scary at first but definately worth it!!!

If there are opportunites to follow your dreams, by all means go for it!!!
