I ahve been to disney several times and I never get bored, but I'd like to try some new things, secret things etc. I have done the whole hidden mickey thing etc. I can't go on tours because of a younger person who is travelling with me. Anything to do? By the way we'll be there the first two weeks in Jan at one of the value resorts!

Had the same issues myself!!

Have you tried the water parks? :teleport:

We went to Typhoon Lagoon this time Thanksgiving Week and enjoyed
it so much we went there twice!!!!! :cool1:

We had an absolute BLAST renting the boats at the Polynesian. DH each rented our own. I don't know if there is an age or height restriction. But it was a wonderful break away from the parks! I would do that again in a heartbeat!

we're doing an Illuminations cruise, we are trying restaurants we have never tried before, we're doing a spa treatment, we love renting the boats too.

The boats sound good. I love boats a lot. BTW, I don't think I would do the Illuminations cruise because I'm on a sort of low budget.

Try the Family Magic Tour at the MK. It's a relatively inexpensive tour, around $25 -$30. There are discounts available, AP, Disney VISA. It's geared to the whole family. I did it last February with my brother and sister. We're all pretty old, like 32 - 40, (maybe that's not that old! LOL!) but we don't mind acting silly.

Try collecting pressed pennies from the resorts! Each one costs a mere 51 cents, you can use free Disney transport, you can visit each game room/gift shop at the resort since that's where many of the penny machines are, and you have a great souvenir!

We're just back
1. One thing we did is we made it a point not to sit in our "usual" areas. For e.g. at Tarzan Rocks we always sit further back - this time we went right down into the very front section. The whole show experience was different!
(If you always ride the TOT forward, ride it backward - ride THunder Rail. during day, ride it at night, etc.).
2. We made sure we caught forecourt shows, etc.
3. One area often overlooked is Innoventions East and West - we had a blast in there playing the different games, going through everything, sending ourselves a "story" postcard...
4. We also picked specific character pictures with our camera we really wanted to capture - this time it was Santa Goofy and all the different outfits Mickey wears: the Apprentice, Christmas, Jack in the Beanstalk, etc.
One time we picked Daisy - boy was she hard to find! But we did.
5. We've gotten lanyards and pins and the goal was to put together a "pin" collection by trading w/ CMs and creating a story board of your Disney trip.
6. Something we keep trying to get to is Putt-putt golf.

Have a great time! :cool1:
