I need some help lol

I was thinking about getting my hair cut short, waaay short, like this:

Would that be a bad idea?

I think with your hair Dev, yes it would be a bad idea.
Unless you want to straighten it everyday.

I just don't think curly, poofy hair would look good that short. But that's just me.
I don't mean to be rude either.

If you have naturally curly hair, then I wouldn't suggest it.

Once, when I got my hair cut too short, it curled up so much that I looked like an old lady. AKA this:

I was traumatized for life. Seriously. NEVER will I let anyone cut my hair that short again.

And even if you do straighten it after, the minute it gets wet at all, or if there's humidity, it curls right back up again and you have to deal with that until you get home again. Or at least, that what mine does.

The shortest I get my hair cut now is down like, RIGHT at my bra strap line (if you know what I mean. ). Any shorter than that is just a major pain in the rear to keep under control-or, at least, it is to me.

EDITS: Maybe you could look HERE for some ideas? There are tons of different styles there.

When I read short hair I imagined a lot shorter than that.
And then I saw a much more feminin version of Samantha Ronson (please don't take that the wrong way, you don't realy look like her, I just think a short hair cut would suit you like it does for her. I think she's beautiful either way).

I don't know, last time I got my hair cut that short, it made me look like I had an afro. Seriously, short hair did not flow with my hair type; even when I straightened it.

I have my hair a little past shoulder length now, with some layers and side bang-y things.

Your current hair is lovely, why on earth would you want rid of it!

I looked at that pic, and I used to have that haircut. I don't regret doing it, but it took a whole year for it to properly grow out and to get back to my "normal" hair. It was nice, but you can't do ANYTHING with it. If you have a formal event, the most you can do is have some fancy head band.. thats it.

You need to seriously consider it before you go for it. I had no idea how much time it took to do my hair, because even though there is less of it, it takes much longer to style. Which you do everyday. Theres no "scraping it back" into a ponytail option either.

Hope it turns it nice if you do do it.

I have considered it, trust me, haha.
Here's what I'm going to do:
Get it cut so it doesn't rest, or barely hits my shoulders
Have my hair thinned out, especially at the bottom, because i'm not fond of the christmas tree look.
Have the length of my bangs match and blend in with the first layer of my hair, and get black lowlights
