We have a trip planned over the holidays. The kids are epecially psyched about it because two of their friends will be there part of the time we are. about a month ago I had an MRI and I have a bone spur and a herniated disc at C5-C6. I am having neck pain and pain shooting pain down my arm. I am in treatment now, but it is looking more and more likely that am heading to the OR. I've told my doctors and physical thera[osts that I just nees to keep the pain in check until after the trip. Then they can do whatever they need to do. So, sent me some good vibrations to get me to and hrough this trip!

Is your pain aggravated by anything? I would love for you to have a backup plan in case your pain flares up in Disney. Would a wheelchair be of any help?

Actually, walking seems to be better than sitting, but sitting is better than standing still. I doubt a wheelchair or scooter would he,p too much, but I am willing to rent one if necessary. My backup plan is muscle relaxers! I can't take them if I need to drive, but once I'm there, I don't need to get behind the wheel of a car for 11 days! Also, the kids are old enough that if I need to park myself on a bench while they do things I can't, that will work. Ice helps, so I will bring a couple of cases of instant cold packs! We will not stay in the parks past mid afternoon most days, and if I need to lie down, the kids can hand out at community hall at SSR. Getting there and back is my biggest worry, but I'm taking three days each way so I can take lots of breaks!!
