I need some experts...

Okay I know this is the best place to come for great info so I need your help. I'm planning a trip for next May for me, DH , DD (6), DD (2) and my cousins. There will be 8 of us travelling. We are thinking of doing 4 day land 3 day sea. I'm still researching to see if it makes more sense financially to book both legs separately or as the package.

My question (finally!), if I book them separately, what do I do for transportation? In other words what is more cost effective? Should we use ME from MCO to the resort and then a car company to get to the port and back to MCO? Use Disney transport from the resort to the port and then back to MCO? Can we even do that? Rent cars? I am so confused!! I don't want to end up spending a fortune just to get around so any advice would be so appreciated!!

There is a rental car company, and I don't know which one that you can do a OW rental from /to Port Canaveral...
