Hi everyone. I just love The Dis. This is the place I know I could get great advice. I have two questions...The first one is what should we pack (weather wise) for our trip to WDW around April 9th we will be there for 10 days? The second question is I see some people say to pack sandels. Can you give me advice to which brand and style sandel you found to be the most comfortable? Thanks in advance.

We will also be at DW at the beginning of April from the 6-11 and I am also curious to know what the weather will be like.

I just got a pair of Keens Newport from zappos.com. Planning to wear sneakers part of the trip also. Very comfy.

I love my Nike sport sandals. I don't know the name, but they have the velcro adjustable cushioned strap across the top of the foot and in back, and arch support so that it feels more like a pair of athletic shoes with some holes cut out strategically. I walked MK in them 2 different days and never had a blister, soreness, etc.

You will most likely be fine in shorts and t-shirts at that time of the year. Take a poncho, or a "kag in a bag" if you can find one - something that folds down real small. Alternatively, bin bags work surprisingly well and you'll be able to spot your party a mile off ;)

Whatever sandals you buy, wear them AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE between now and your trip. They need to be worn in well so no rubbing etc. Most people wear sneakers and are fine in them.

I actually had to goole these terms, as I had not idea WHAT you were talking about. It's amazing that we speak the same language in the UK and the US but still have trouble making ourselves understood!

FWIW:
kag in a bag = a lightweight waterproof jacket which can be folded into a small pouch
bin bag = a plastic trash bag

For the OP, make sure that you bring one light sweater or sweatshirt in case the weather is cool. Early April can be unpredictable. I've been there when the highs were in the 90's and other times when they only topped off in the low 70's.

I bring Teva sandals on our trips to WDW - love them! They're a sport sandal with velcro straps & they're very lightweight. :thumbsup2
