Hello, I am planning on making a trip to Disney World either April of '07 or August '07 with my girlfriend. I am planning to stay in the Sports Resort value hotel. I plan on buying the hopper pass to all the parks (including both water parks). I was debating whether I should go there for 10 days, or 12 days. No matter what I am going for 10 days... But my question is: Do you think 10 days will be enough to experience all of Disney World? Im talking Epcot, MK, AK, MGM studio's, both water parks, downtown disney and the sports center. Is 10 days enough to see all this and not have to rush for time or skip anything? Or would 12 days be better? Would 12 day even be enough?

Thank you for your help!

Ps: Maybe to help you answer my question... I am the kind of person who has to stop and look at every little thing. I have to ride EVERY ride where ever I go.

Go for as much time as you can afford. The first time my husband and I went it was early December which meant mild weather and mild crowds. We were there for 11 days. We still felt like we did not see it all. I think with Disney World that is something that you have to expect. There is just so much to see and do. But it is a much better vacation if you are not panicked about how much you have to get done every day.

We've been to WDW twice. Each time for 7 days. We haven't seen it all in the parks, and haven't even been to the water parks, DTD, The Boardwalk. We are heading back to see the things we missed on our first two trips. I'd say, go for as long as you can afford.

Thank You. Well, I am trying to save up for 10 days plus have enough to spend on food/merchandise and stuff. Well Im the type of guy who has to see EVERY little THING. So do you think maybe 12 days would be enough to see and do it all?

10 or 12 days isn't enough to do it *all* even if you go go go 17 hours a day (remember you need time to relax, too!) but I am sure it is enough time to get a good sampling of most of WDW. DBF and I went for 2 days in 04, 6 days in 05 and we're going for 14 days this August. I have tons planned out, but it's definitely not *everything*. If you can afford 12 or 14 days, do it.

Just as a guideline,
you need at least 2-3 days to do everything in Magic Kingdom,
2 days to do everything in Future World in Epcot,
2 days to do everything in World Showcase in Epcot,
1 day each for the water parks,
1 day for Animal Kingdom,
2 days for Disney MGM Studios, plus anything else you want to do-

a night at PI?
a day at Wide World of Sports? See an event? Drive the race car?
a night or day shopping in the Marketplace? Drive the boats?
a day parasailing?
a night or day mini golfing at one of 2 courses? or even regular golfing offered at even more courses?
a day at one of the Spas?
A night at Cirque de Soleil or the Luau or Hoop de doo Revue?
an IllumiNations cruise?
a Wishes Cruise?
a fancier dinner out at another resort? (Jiko, Victoria and Albert's Bluezoo, Artist Point, etc.)
Atlantic Dance or Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk?
a carriage ride at POFQ?
a day to enjoy your resort's pool?
a day at Disney Quest?

This is just the beginning! There's always something new and fun to add on to your vacation! Begin with the theme parks themselves and go from there. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. HTH!

I agree with the above post. We usually spend 3 days in MK alone each trip.

I kind of like it that you can not see everything in one trip. It is the only way I can talk my DH into going back.

That being said are you worried about seeing even the minor things that most people would say are not worth the worry.

Well...how long do you have? If you HAVE to see it ALL, then go for as long as you possibly can and I assure you, you will still miss something. Disney is a magnificent place to be and it's so easy to get caught up in everything and miss something. You have come to the right message board :welcome: because all of us here are honest in giving opinions and try and help each other out. So, if you need more advice, don't hesitate to post. Good luck with your decision! :jumping1:

Definitely go for as long as you can afford. In the mean time learn as much as you can to maximize your experience. Remember August can be really hot, but April can be incredibly busy. If you are doing August, go as late in the month as possible so the crowds will be at their lightest.

Also although I have never stayed at either I have read a ton of stuff and would recommend you take a look at Pop Century before you make your mind up about a value resort.

Good luck,
Mel :)

Dont miss the parades and the fireworks.Fantasmic at MGM, Wishes at MK,Illuminations at Epcot. This past March went to FW and canoed for an hour. That was great fun. Ride a surrey bike at the Boardwalk. This was our 21st year of going to WDW and we are still finding new things to do and see.

Im sorry, I didnt mean I want to do EVERYTHING Disney World has to offer. I just want to visit the four parks in DW and the water parks. I want to know how many days will be needed to do all that comfortably? I am wondering how many days I will need to:

Magic Kingdom: Ride all or most of rides. Possible more than once. Go shopping in not all, but most of the stores (just looking but probably not buying). Get something to eat.

Animal Kingdom: Go on all the rides, or most, and look in all of the stores, or most. Eat.

MGM Studios: Go on all the rides and tours and stores. Eat.

Epcot: Go on all the rides and in the stores. Eat.

Both water parks: Go on all the attractions lots of times.

Downtown: Briefly wiz through all the stores. Eat.

Sports Place: Take a look around, maybe go for a drive in a race car depending on price.

Above is really all I want to do. How much time will I need to do the above without being rushed?

I dont plan on golfing or any of the other stuff outside of the four parks.

ALSO, I have talked with my GF and she refuses to miss any school to go to DW (Ugh/*sigh*) so now I am force to consider going in the summer. I am now thinking of going right in the very beggining of August (as soon as the 1st) for maybe 12-15 days (if I can afford). How are the lines in very early August? I think that is really going to be the only time we can go because we have to be back for college in late August.

Thanks for the help!

Stay as long as you can, you will not run out of things to see or do - and you will not be sorry. :)
