Hi all, I need one more ts restaurant, and I'm stumped! We will be on ddp, and the day I'm missing is going to be our relax/check out resorts day, so preferably a resort restaurant.
And I would like to use 1 ts credit
Here's what I have so far:
Ohana
Le cellier
Tusker house
Mama melrose
Portobello or HOB
Biergarten
San angel inn
Boma
Via napoli

If it helps, DF does not like saucy food (if that makes sense) he doesn't like asian food, bbq, or sweet stuff. He loves italian, and likes buffets b/c they have a lot of simple foods in case he doesn't like something.
I don't eat beef or pork, and love seafood and pasta. No kids, and we are a young (late 20s couple)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!:thumbsup2

Rainforest Cafe or The Wave ..we are a meat and potatoes kinda family..no asian, thai...etc..and love both of the above!

One more to consider is a nice family style Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness. My only concern is it does get a little loud here. So if your day is for relaxing, I would go to The Wave.

Since posting this, I've been reading menus, and I'm really interested in the wave, although dbf is concerned about the healthy label given to the restaurant. Is it still tasty? And I'm very interested in cape may cafe, anyone have any feedback on these 2? Thank yoou for the suggestions!!

We love The Wave! Great food! We've eaten there several times. Made sure to book for our next trip! We had 2 meals booked but then switched one out for Rainforest

Tell him to be a big boy, just because something is labelled healthy doesn't mean it can't taste good too.:rotfl2: The Wave has lovely meals. DH and I have really enjoyed the buffet at Cape May. We LOVE the seafood. But there are good non-seafood items too. Take a look at the menus to see if you agree.

Sorry don't mean to be Debbie Downer but we didn't care for The Wave. The food was creative and tasty - but all 4 of us found our meals to be waaaaaaaay too salty. Maybe it was the kitchen that day? I really wanted to like it but it ended up being the biggest disappointment of our trip last year. :confused3

We went to the Wave for breakfast and didn't like it. The food in the chaffing dishes were very dried out and not tasty. However, I don't know about dinner. I have heard great things about Cape May for dinner. Cape May has the seafood that you love and the buffet style that DF loves! :)

Oh and to answer your question: Sanaa! :thumbsup2 The food is EXCELLENT, something different but nothing weird.

If you really want to stick to a buffet you could always try Trails End over at Ft Wilderness or Cape May at BC/YC.

This made me literally lol! i think we are going to go with cape may cafe. deep down i think thats where i want, just needed some positive reviews to back it up. thank you all so much for your help!

Cape May is a great choice and the BC Resort is lovely. If you have time, walk around the beach area - it makes for a nice stroll. :goodvibes

I agree with Cape May.

I've also heard Raglan Road is good, but I've not been there personally.

My vote is Cape May, I went to the dinner buffet on a Friday and it was fantastic! If you don't love seafood then I would choose something else. It was the clam bake that we went to but everything was excellent.

Thanks eveyone! One more quick question, is the clam bake at cape may inclued as part of dinner? Or is that held only on certain nights? Id like to go for the clam bake so I didt know if I need to mention that when making my reservations, and if I can use a ts credit? Thank you!

I could be wrong but I think the 'clam bake' is everynight - in that they always have clams?!?

We went in October and I was pleasantly surprised - everything was really tasty, and there were other options other than fish too. It is definately a good quality buffet.

You can also use the time away from the parks to do things around the boardwalk. I would definately recommend being on the beach just outside the restaurant at around sun-set - they do marshmallow roastings on a campfire which is good fun.

how neat! i didnt know that. we will definitely be checking that out!

If you like seafood you will love the Cape May Cafe buffet, no doubt in my mind!! My DH and I also really enjoy the Whispering Canyon Cafe and Les Chefs de France :)
