The aluminum/alzheimers link is tenuous at best. It comes from the discovery of a village in central america where there was an incredibly high occurance of alzheimers. They also found very high levels of aluminum in their water source. Some people surmized that the aluminum was causing the alzheimers. However, there could simply have been a genetic grouping of people that were predisposed to alzheimers in the first place. They now feel the alzheimers had nothing to do with the aluminum in the water. I don't have a link, but I remember studying this in a psych. class in college when they were explaining the "stork effect."
