I need my Disney Fix

Hey everyone,
I've not posted for a while bit was wondering and I can guarantee this has been asked a million times but which one would you recommend for me? Disneyland Hotel or New York

Brief background: We decided on Hotel New York for next June but I LOVE the idea of staying at the Disneyland Hotel. The only thing that puts me off (and I understand its part of the theme), is the rooms. They looks so old fashioned but I understand its supposed to be a victorian looking hotel.
With Hotel New York, I love everything about it really apart from it looking like a businessy looking hotel. Not too much of the "disney wow factor" and even though we don't have kids, I still feel like one and want to experience Disney in total awe so help me please.
Which one?

A tough one.

On our last trip we were originally going to stay at the New York and were all looking forward to it but changed our minds and decided to treat ourselves to the Disneyland Hotel. We had a fantastic stay there and it was everything I'd hoped it would be. I LOVED the rooms and the Disney touches in them are lovely.

I've not stayed at the New York yet ..... I say yet as I do intend staying there one day (next summer if I can stretch to it). I can't say the rooms appeal to me in the same way the DLH's do but I'm still looking forward to checking them out for myself one day. I will say that the location of the DLH is perfect but if I can find one negative it's that I did feel we missed out on walking through the Village late at night after park closing - we really had to make an effort to leave the DLH bubble to go there one night.

If you really want to stay at the Disneyland Hotel then do it! I think everyone should stay there at least once in their life!
