We are leaving in the morning and I am still not sure if I want to keep my WOC reservation at WCT. I have read a lot of posts and it does not seem as though the viewing area for the dining package is that good, plus my daughter and I are now vegan, so spending 45 dollars each for vegetables seems like a bad idea if we get stuck behind tall people (we are both 5'2). Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks again

How far into the trip is the reservation? Will you have time to get a regular FP the first night and still be in the cancelation window if the regular FP viewing works out. Being vegan, you're probably better off eating table service, as the counter service options are limited. Have you noted that you're vegan on the reservation? I tend to think they can do more when they chefs know in advance.

The chefs at WCT really can give you a good meal if you give them advance notice of your dietary needs. Some poster here have quite restrictive dietary issues and have reported very good experiences at WCT. Some people think that the WCT section for WOC is better than the CCR section. "Better" depends on what suits your needs. If you want to be up close and perhaps get wet, then the WCT section should be fine. If you want to be further back, the CCR section should be fine. And you can always ask CMs about moving, especially if the sections aren't super crowded when you are there. The key for prime viewing regardless of your section is to get there early and be prepared to wait for the viewing spots that you want. I'm short like you (and my family is even shorter), so I go in prepared to wait the full 90 minutes to get spots on the railing. So far, that plan has not failed, and we've had great viewing every time.

And just take my advice, DO NOT GO TO THE WET ZONE, YOU WILL GET SOAKED! (Unless you have a poncho, then you should be good.) My DH and I did the wet zone during a summer viewing of WOC and we only got misted, so I thought that would be my experience this time around. Nope. SOAKED. I didn't stay for the finale I was so cold and miserable. But some hot chocolate (with rum) and sitting by the fire at the Grand fixed me right up.

Thanks for all of the advice, I have called ahead to let them know I am vegan, and we will get there early. Hopefully the weather is warmish so if we do get wet we won't freeze.

We've been in the wet zone many times and have never been soaked. Misted, yes; soaked, no (or not yet!). If you have a poncho from GRR, put it in a large ziploc bag to reuse for WOC. If you wear glasses, bring a cloth to wipe them throughout the show if it is misty. If the wind is blowing away from the viewing area, you'll stay totally dry. When you arrive at WCT, repeat your dietary needs with the host/ess and server. A chef may come to your table to discuss your meal (and you can request that a chef speak with you anyway). Have a great time!
