My sister is planning to take my nephew to Disney world for his birthday next week. He loves iron man and legos. So she wanted to have his birthday party at the Lego place. But I can't find any information online. Does anyone have any idea how that works?

The info on the website only has tips for throwing a Lego themed party at home. I want to know if he can actually have his birthday party at the Lego store in downtown Disney. I've heard somewhere that you can, but can't find any information about it.

Did you call the store? When I called I was told they don't do birthday parties.

Yes I do not believe they do parties. The store really has no facilities for that and as busy as that store is (along with everything in Downtown Disney), I do not think it would be a very enjoyable party either.

It would not be hard to plan your own party and include the lego store. My DS7 LOVES that lego store and he loves T-Rex. Maybe do a meal and cake at t-rex and then head over to the store to play and allow each kid to fill a container or choose a small kit or whatever your budget allows.

What about going to Legoland? There's a shuttle from Orlando - $5! We're djinn this one day if our vacation.

We just went to the Lego store - some tips for you:

Some Lego sets sell out quickly. Example: I wanted the new girl scientist set, so I called them early and asked them to set one aside for me. Done. By the time I went there, they had the set for me (bought it - super cute!, but also mentioned that the sets was all sold out. Apparently, they sell out of that as soon as they get it in! So if your DS has his eyes set on something, CALL THEM and they will put it away for you! :)

They have a great "Pick a Brick" wall where you can fill up an entire container with Lego bricks. It's neat, and not that expensive. They also have a "create a minifig" where you can make 3 mini figs for 10.00. There is an outdoor area where kids can make cars and other cool things and race them, as well as an area in the back for Duplo creation.

The store can get very hot and crowded because of it's open-air layout. I would recommend going early on a weekday. Weekends are simply miserable. The Lego CMs are very very nice and have been extremely helpful (they all seem to love Lego!), even giving free shipping for out of stock items.

All in all, it's a pleasant store, but call ahead for any special items to avoid disappointment. Have fun!

This store is way too busy to think a birthday party would be a good idea here. I think it would be very stressful. I second the idea of maying doing something at T-Rex or Goofy's and just stopping in there.
