I was reading a thread(see below for thread) on the lost bar closing but it didn't really explain what or where lost bar is, and I also heard they will be serving the last customers on Saturday. And now I have questions because I kind want to go on Friday night! And as a Diser this may seem really bad-but I have no idea where it is, AND IN FACT ANY INFO IS GREAT!…rflol :rotfl2:

So here are my questions: :)

Where is it?(please be specific)
Is there a cover charge to go in?
Can you wear jeans and t-shirt and flip flops to lost bar?
Does it get crowded?
Do they serve food?
Are they expensive?

:confused3

Thank you!! :lovestruc :) :woohoo:

..ok and so the wine cellar, is that the place that does the cheese and crackers?

Where is it?(please be specific) Fron Downtown Disney, you would make a left at the (soon to be former) Dreams Tower, and hang a right at the end of the first building there. It is directly across from the Croc's Bits and Bites and Hook's Point.

Is there a cover charge to go in? No, there is not. It's a partially open air, partially inside bar.

Can you wear jeans and t-shirt and flip flops to lost bar? Yes. You can wear whatever you would wear in a day to the park.

Does it get crowded? It really depends on the day, and what groups decide to go on any given day. Some days are dead, others see large birthday groups, etc.

Do they serve food? Yes, but it comes from Hook's Bits and Bites across the way. It's pretty much Nachos (delicious!), chicken strips, burgers, and cheeseburgers.

Are they expensive? The drinks have a large range... usually my drinks are in the $9 range. They're the same prices you would find at any other Resort bar.

Go! This has been a family destination for 20+ years. I can't begin to express my sorrow on not getting a nightcap for our trip next month. It's very casual, yet always entertaining (the patrons), they stay open late and they pour the stiffest drink in the resort. ;) Enjoy yourself!!

oh awesome thanks monkeydishwasher!!!

that is awesome info.. cool , now i know what to expect

ok can i also pick your brain on the wine cellar....??? have you been there? i heard they do complimentary cheese and crackers? are thy closing also?

ok..so heymy u suggesting to wait on wine cellar, but go to lost bar as they are closing this weekend??

Absolutely! The wine cellar is nice, but small and always dead....which could be a positive or negative. It's got more of the sheeshee atmosphere where the Lost Bar is fun. But like PP mentioned, it can be dead or hopping too. If it's one of the last nights, I'm sure there'll be plenty of people. It has tables indoors and out, but I enjoy sitting at the bar (pretty small) and chatting with the bartenders, they are chalkful of information, as many have been there for years, bartendering back in the Neon Cactus/Sgt Preston's days. I feel much more relaxed there than say the Uva Bar....good drinks but no personality.

I think we read it opposite from each other...

The "Wine Cellar" over by the "Lost Bar' was my destination. ... I sat down in the peaceful atmosphere, only to find out that they are closing. ....The Wine Cellar will be serving there last customers on 07-25-10.

I didn't get that the Lost Bar (a big bar looking over the RC jungle cruise boats) was closing, but that the Cellar was.

ok im confused i thought it was the lost bar that is closing.. not wine cellar.......

cool thanks for the info everyone!! i know now i need to see lost bar before it closes down for good this weekend!! sweet, thanks heymy! i assume for the food portions of bill they take the annual pass??? yes /no?

oh heymy, i feel the same way u do on UVA bar,i thought i have loved it, my first visit, my second visit i realized that it's soo right in the middle of DTD that it's just feels soo crowded...and the drinks have no personalty either!

so i am exctied about lost--anybody going this weekend or friday night to help send them off!??

LOL this thread has my head spinning.

Bumbershoot, I, too, thought it was The Wine Cellar. The English language can be such a tricky thing! :rotfl:

Funball, I LOVE that you are excited to go check out a place that is closing. What happens if you love it? You'll be heartbroken.

If you are asking, "Do they give the AP discounts?" - yes. :goodvibes:goodvibes

Both are closing.

WHAT????? *gasp* :scared1: OHH NOO!! Ok well I guess I better visit both before they close, lost bar Friday, wine cellar Saturday… :woohoo:

Ok so is it true with the complimentary cheese and crackers? Has anybody gotten this? Tell me about it if you have…I am still going anyway I just want to know ahead of time

Found it! Here's the link.

And that’s not all! Two new dining locations will be introduced in the current location of Hook’s Pointe, Croc’s Bites and Bits, the Wine Cellar and the Lost Bar. A new “smart casual” dining concept will feature Tahitian architecture that is reminiscent of the ’50s and ’60s era of the hotel and the original Tahitian Terrace restaurant in Disneyland park. A new bar will draw on the adventure theme from the Jungle Cruise attraction.

ohh well since it closesat least i will have great memories...... besides i got my favorite place anyway, the wine bar at DCA..*wink wink* :lovestruc

I had my last drink there in December when the Bartender told me it would be closing soon along with one of my favorite Disneyland Resort attraction.... The Waterfalls.

I can't believe they are going to destroy them.

oh well good thing iam going tomorrow i never even seen these waterfalls!! i feel like i been living under a rock! :lmao:

tell me more about these waterfalls now....:lmao:

i am still going tomorrow to lost bar, if anyone would like to join in a send off!:cheer2:

Well the past few visits they have been closed at night (which is a real bummer) because back in the day they were open and they would change colors and you could walk behind them and smell that funky Disney water smell that so many of us have grown to love.

Growing up in Socal my mother would take us kids to Disneyland Hotel every other week for the free Dancing with Waters show (which later inspired the Bellagio Fountains and now WOC). I think that is where I fell in love with the waterfalls and later Lost Cove.

You can also feed the Kio fish in the morning, make a wish at the falls or take a few pics.

I once saw a man propose to his girlfriend their late one night when we snuck in during my teenage years. I thought it was pretty cheesy back then and I'm sure we crashed the moment but I bet it was a cool memory for them.
