I can tell you anything you need to know about Disney World, but absolutely nothing about Disneyland.

My niece is going to be in California, in Sept. Something to do with college, so prob. not alot of free time.

She is thinking about Disney, but will only have one day.

OK- give me the scoop. I need to have as much info as possible.

Tickets? Must sees? Must do?

Is there somewhere to get discount tickets?

I don't need hotel info. I don't know where she is staying, but I'm sure that is all arranged.

Thanks in advance:D :D

With only one day, I would choose to go to Disneyland only (unless she is dying to see the new DCA).

- Get to the park 30 minutes prior to opening (shops are open) and stash your stuff in a locker on main street. Mornings are cool, daytimes are hot, evenings are cool again. Bring sweaters and possibly long pants depending on your tolerance.

- Try to get in as many popular rides as possible in the morning before the lines build. During the hot and "longest line" period in the afternoon, try to eat, shop, and hit the less popular attractions.

- Use fastpasses!

- In the evening be sure to allow time to see the Believe fireworks from Main Street, they are awesome. I would recommend skipping Fantasmic if you only have one day because the time required to get a seat is not worth it if you only have one day. However, if you get lucky, you might get a peek at the second showing.

- With only one day, don't plan to head back to the hotel for rests or eat outside the park, it will take too much of your time. Stay in the park from opening til closing and just pace yourself.

Do everything that is unique or different at DL.

Indiana Jones
Matterhorn
Mr. Toad
POTC (better version than MK)
Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin
Alice in Wonderland

Like Elly mentioned, the Believe fireworks are not to be missed. Maybe lunch at Blue Bayou.
