I need HELP!!!!

Okay... I have been doing Atkins but I admit that for the past 2 weeks I have not been as strict as I should have been. Anyway, I just tried on the dress (that fit in October) that I want to wear next month (July 11th). Well..... it's tight :eek:! I can get it on, zip it but I look like a sardine... okay it's not that bad but I feel like it is. I'm thinking that I need to lose 10 pounds in 5 weeks. I am planning on continuing to exercise (actually increase my level...hopefully walk 5 miles each day) and get back on Atkins very, very strictly. I just need to hear it's not impossible. You are all so supportive and I could just use a little of that right now :o

P.S. What was the most amount of weight you lost in a month?
 
You can do it!! I think you have set a very realistic goal. 10 pounds in 5 weeks is only 2lbs. a week that you need to lose. That`s very doable. The first three weeks i was very strict on atkins and i lost 13 pounds.

I think you could do it. You have enough time. Definitely be strict about carbs for a few days. Drink TONS of water. Good luck. You will look beautiful in that dress.
 
I agree, 10 pounds in 5 weeks can be done! :) I lost mostly water and I was extremely strict my first week on Atkins and lost 11 pounds! Drink lots of water!!! :):)
 

You can do it!!!

For motivation, try the dress on every so often. You'll start to feel it fit better, and that should get you fired up!
 
Ok, relax, relax, relax!!!!! :)

Take things moment by moment. Set small goals for the day, like a morning goal, noon time goal and afternoon/evening goal. Then EVERY TIME you meet one of these small goals, aknowledge it and do some kind of private celebration. Maybe make a chart to hang on the wall in your kitchen and give yourself a real gold star for each goal you meet. If you have something like this to look at, it will help to motivate you. :)

Good luck. You can do this!!! Remember that you are in control, nobody is forcing you to eat things that aren't on your plan. Think positive! Don't look back. If you do eat something that isn't on your plan, don't beat yourself up. I just got back from a two week vacation where I ate ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that wasn't nailed down, but I'm back on program and feeling great! :) YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not impossible, sweetie. You are only hoping to lose 2 pounds a week. That is very reasonable.

Go back on induction, cut out any sugar free candy or low carb bars. I think you have a really good shot at reaching that goal in 5 weeks.

I lost 19 pounds my first month on Atkins, since that first month, the most I've lost in a month is 10 pounds. If I can do it, I'm sure you can do it.
