I've been in and out of here for the past couple of years ( more out than in). I've finally found a program that is working great for me. I've lost 32 lbs since the middle of June and have 30 more to go to reach my goal. My problem is w/ the exercising. I have no willpower when is comes to sticking with exercising. I was doing really well walking everyday or every other day, but that was when my husband would walk w/ me. I just can't stay motivated. How do you all do it? help! I don't want to lose all the weight and then not be able to keep it off, because I can't get my butt moving enough.

Hi there - can you share what program you are on that you lost 32 pounds since June? I would love to know since I can't lose a half a pound easily :rotfl:

I just joined a gym and am going to try to keep motivated and put it in my schedule like brushing your teeth each morning but with kids it is hard. I am just going to focus on the goal which is my upcoming trip in April 2007 YAY

Best of luck to you and you should be thrilled you lose so much weight and let that motivate you a little. I'm sure you feel better.

The program is Medical Weight Loss. I believe they are only in Michigan, but I'm sure there are other places, but maybe under a different name. You are monitored by drs and they have medication if you need it. I fortunately do not. They have several different plans, depending on what your needs are. Basically you are only allowed fresh foods (veggies, fruit, meat) nothing processed. (with the exception of some starches) Alot of it is getting the right food and the right protion size. You also have to use their "nutrients" which is a huge variety of items such as shakes, pudding, soups, snack bars. I had heard about it from a lady that works w/ my husband. I was so skeptical as I've have tried everything under the sun to lose weight and was maybe able to take off 10 lbs or so, but it would take forever and never stayed off. I have to admit that I'm shocked that the weight it coming off so quickly and I need to get my butt moving to keep it coming off and keep it off.

I second Medical Weight loss Clinic. I tried their program a few years ago and had great success. Only downfall is the Nutrients are pricey and the Clinic costs adds up quickly, all worth it if you can afford it, program really works. I was tired of dishing out $$$ so I opted for the Low Carb lifestyle instead.

sweetpeakaris - you're right it is pricey, but unfortunately it's the only thing I've found that works and I was desperate. I wanted to be around to see my kids grow up and the route I was headed, I didn't think I would make it. I'm fortunate enough that DH thinks I'm worth the added expense and I look at it as only a few weeks and I start stabilization, the nutrients are not forever. (I hope) That is why I'm so desperate to get myself motivated w/ the exercise so I can keep it off.

Just like has already been said. It is part of your living breathing life now. Put it in your schedule as you do anything else.

Some of the walkers on the other thread make the statement on the days we don't want to go out and move that it is "one foot in front of the other." Put on the shoes and go for at least a little.

Good luck with your quest. Keep on keepin' on.
