Does anybody have any input on doing a late June wedding? I have been reading that is the wettest month and I know it is pretty hot. Is anybody a local that could help me out with this? Also, how about a mid-March wedding? I guess I just need to know when a good time is. :confused3

hiya, we have booked our wedding for the 28 june 07 at the swan and dolphin, as we are travelling over from the uk so fingers crossed for a dry ceremony!!

I would say that if there isn't some pressing reason that you need to do a wedding in June I wouldn't. It is HOT and rainy. March would definetly be a better option if that works for you. Summer would have been better for some of our guests but there was just no way that I was going to put up with the heat, as I am sure that they wouldn't really want to either. That is just me though. =) hth

February is the dryest and coolest month. June you're approaching hurricane season and a hurricane actually formed a few days before hurricane season last year. So that could have a very bad inpact on your wedding day. Go here

That should help you. Just imput Orlando and you can see how the weather pattern is. Also the sunset and sunrise time as well!

I had the same probelm, deciding btwn March and late June (b/c DF is in med school and has limited breaks). We were going to go w/ March b/c of the cooler temps, no hurricanes, etc. However, we have friends in grad school and younger children in our families that would only be able to make it during the summer. To accomodate our guests, we chose June 25, 2007.

Good luck making your decision!

The one thing to remember about March is that it is Spring Break season. The parks can be very crowded.

Thanks for the help. There are a lot of pros and cons to both times. It looks like June is the way we are leaning. Just like JJ, we have family members with children that can only make it in summer. That will probably be the deciding factor.

If you are thinking about June, maybe consider having it in the morning... Sometimes it seems like Disney schedules those 3 or 4 pm rain showers so they can sell more ponchos!

One thing we learned last year in south Louisiana was that hurricanes may be during the summer, but that they have long reaching affects.

Our 10th Vow Renewal was scheduled for December 2005, however because of the 2 hurricanes that visited upon us during the summer, we rescheduled for June 2006.

We are just thrilled to be celebrating. We chose June because of the renewal that spring brings and because more guests could attend in the summer. We have an afternoon outdoor ceremony scheduled, but are prepared with a good backup plan.

If you really want June go for it. Just be aware of the possible negatives that the others have mentioned and have a good backup plan that you can live with if rain comes on your special day.

Good Luck!
