I need Help! Regarding reducing dining party!

I already posted this under another thread, but I'm doing it again in hopes of getting additional advice!

I made my ADRs back in October for my upcoming trip at the end of this month. At the time, there were 3 of us definitely going, and 2 additional "maybe"s. Under the advice of my AAA TA, I made all our dining ressies for 5 people. She said it would be a lot easier dropping people, then trying to add them later. Well, the other 2 decided not to come, and I kind of forgot to call and change the reservations. I called Disney Dining this morning, and was told we would have to make new ADRs and see if there was availability for a party of 3. Now, I know very well I won't be able to get the times/restaurants I wanted. She checked with the manager, and was told they could not just change the party amount. What should I do now? I have already tried to make additional ressies, and cannot find ANY decent dinner times.

Don't stress too much - do you have a credit card hold on any of them? If not, just show up with 3 and tell them your party of 5 shrunk to 3. We've lost people many times in our reservation and it just means another larger party is seated sooner.

I would definitely do what Aimee said. Or, if you'd like...I'll show up with my DH and you can treat us to dinner?????

Just kidding. Please post after your trip and let us know how it turns out. Like Aimee said, I have a feeling it happens all the time.
