Go to the
DVC rent/trade board- and post your questions there. You need to tell them When you are going and how big of a room you want. That will determine the number of points you will need. The DVC is wonderful. They offer studios,- basically your typical hotel room except has a small frig and microwave, 1 bedroom- sleeps four has a kitchen bedroom and livingroom , washer/dryer- 2 bedroom- sleeps 8- has two bedrooms- one with a king size bed and master bath, 1 with either 2 queens or a queen and pull out sofa, pull out sofa in the Living room area ,full kitchen and washer/dryer and another bathroom, and then there are the Grand Villas- they sleep up to 12 - and you would add basically another bedroom and bathroom to the 2 bedroom suite. DVC uses a point sytem rather then a regular use week of the year. I like that because yuo can choose to go whenever you want to go and make better use of your points in the off season. All the Villas have handicap rooms.
It would be a good idea for you to at least keep your ressies at the Dolphin for May (it might be tough to get a DVC room this close to when you're going) and make an appointment to visit the Beach Club Villas and take a tour. They are free- you might get a free lunch coupon, and they are VERY VERY LOW to NO sales pressure. They don't need to press- DVC sells itself. If it is typical for you to make so many to WDW in a year, or even if visiting WDW is an annual trip for you, you should really consider seriously looking into buying it. BWV is part of the DVC as is WLV, HH, VB, OKW and BCV. ANd if you become a member of the DVC you can stya on your points at any of these places. Since you have friends staying at BWV- check out their room. You can buy into the DVC in two ways- directly from Disney or through resale. We bought through Disney because it was easier for us to go through the official company the first time. If we make additions- we'll probably do resale. If you are interested in getting info now, I can suggest the guide we used. She was very efficient and wonderful with all the questions I had, a nd still have. I'm sure she'd be happy to send you all the info on the DVC (video, book explaing the DVC , point system and how many points you'd need for what time of year. There should also be some financing info in there. If you're interested in knowing who we work with -just pm me and I'll be happy to give you that info.
There is so much to tell you. If you have more specific questions, just let us know- we love to talk DVC
