I have a 4 day ticket in Orlando starting in a couple weeks on a Monday, 1 day per park. I'm traveling alone, JmI will not be renting a car or motorcycle, and I'm mainly looking for something in the Disney bubble that's convenient to visiting all the parks. I don't need the cheapest accomodations (especially booking two weeks out), but I also don't want the most luxury thing out there. I just need convenience. What resort would you recommend?

Convenience and when visiting all four parks, I suggest an Epcot area resort. Yacht Club has brand new rooms that are very nice and you can walk to DHS (or take the skyliner) and also walk to Epcot (same for Beach Club and Boardwalk, but only DVC rooms are open there if you're OK with that). Buses will take you to MK and AK. If you don't mind just bus transportation, Coronado Springs Gran Destino Tower is brand new and is a very centrally located resort, so it's easy to get to all 4 parks from via bus. Plus it's about half the cost of Yacht Club but still has a very deluxe feeling to it as well as lounges that are great for an adult trip.

Is Coronado Springs a good choice? I just ended up grabbing it. I don't mind just bus transportation, and at $250 a night, it seems reasonable for Disney for booking less than two weeks before check in.

I'm just glad I was able to reserve a day at all 4 parks this morning, even though it's such short notice. Got Hollywood Studios on Monday the 9th, Magic Kingdom the 10th, Animal Kingdom the 11th, Epcot the 12th, and I go home the 13th. I hope to ride Rise of the Resistance, but I understand there's a good chance that won't happen. I also feel like the airfare I booked this afternoon isn't terrible. Could have paid $206 for a round trip from the SF Bay Area to Orlando, but I paid more so I can get into the hotel at a reasonable hour on Sunday and sleep well, and leave in the mid-afternoon on Friday in case I drink a lot at Epcot and don't want to wake up early for my flight. Which is also exactly why Epcot is my last park.

For a trip I woke upt his morning and decided I want to take, and so close to departure, this has all fallen into line really well planning-wise.

Coronado is a beautiful resort. The rooms are awesome too. I think you made a great choice!!

We got a really good deal at swan and dolphin. Love that area also.
The major drawback to the Swan and Dolphin now is their bus transportation. While it is great to be able to walk to two parks, the other parks by bus, especially MK, are not great now that they use Mears instead of Disney transportation. Getting dropped off at the chartered bus area at the TTC is a definite disadvantage and would make me think twice about booking there if I wanted to be inside the "bubble."

We like CSR especially with the new tower. It’s a big resort but we don’t mind it as much since we like the theming. If you plan to ride ROTR, do make sure you are up to speed on the new ROTR boarding pass virtual queue. I believe the update starts November 3 so I would follow some people to see how it works out for them since you’ll no longer need to be inside DHS to get a pass but it does say nearby, so not sure what that will mean exactly.

Oh also check out three bridges bar and grill. It’s a nice little lake top lounge that was added last year. It’s pretty good food and drinks and nice since it’s right on the lake.

I'd book Swan/Dolphin. They are showing up on the Priceline thread. WAY better location than Coronado, and cheaper. You need a better location if you plan to walk to HS for ROFR.

You can always go next door (Beach Club/Boardwalk) and take the DVC bus, if that's the concern.

Coronado is completely bus dependent. If I'm staying as remote as Coronado, might as well save some cash and stay non-Disney and use their buses, like Wyndham or a million other options. Or just Uber and stay somewhere a lot cheaper.

The new pass distribution system should be in place by the time of OP's visit so they won't necessarily need to rely on walking over to HS early :) (though still a bonus for getting on other rides before official open!)
