I need help fast!

Hi All,

We have decided that we can do a fall trip since we have found decent flight prices but the we have to book in the nest few days. So in order to book I need to know when you Thanksgiving is this year. I do not want to be at the parks around this time!!!!

Is the week before and after busy as well?

Thanksgiving is Nov. 27th.

The week before is not too bad and you get to see all of the Christmas decorations-just no Santa he arrives on Thanksgiving! We have been the last few years during Thanksgiving which is crowded in the am then people leave and it is better but Friday seems to be the worst around noon. We always take a break then!

The week after could be crowded-I think the Candelight Procession is that weekend.

Dec.1 -14 should be an ideal time to go. The Thanksgiving crowds should disappear on the 1st, but the Christmas crowds won't start appearing until around the 20th. The magic of Christmas will be everywhere. The parks may close early, but you will have few crowds, so you should be able to do a lot. The weather is usually a bit cool, but not too rainy. I couldn't imagine a better time.

Last year we visited the parks during the first week of December and LOVED it. You shouldn't have a bad time with crowds, especially if you can hit the parks in the middle of the week. Tues through Thursday are the best days to go.

One thing to think about if you happen to go during Thanksgiving is the Thanksgiving dinner held in Disney's Grand Ballroom! We go every year to the Mother's Day Brunch, and it is probably the most incredible event we have seen Disney throw yet. The ballroom is inside of The Disneyland Hotel, and is decorated like a scene from a Disney movie. You can get more info at Disneyland's website, or call Disney Dining. Have an incredible trip, and make sure to hit the Haunted Mansion several times!!
