I Need Help Booking a Hotel!

I was in the process of planning a totally different vacation, then my DS(14) decides this week that he wants to go to Universal instead. I'm not really complaining, since we can drive to UO in 1 hr. 15 min. & the other trip he wanted to go on was a very long, theme park, road trip.

We've been taking cruise vacations lately, & I'm totally out of the loop on all things Universal.

Our DS really wants to stay at HRH. It looks like I've missed out on any type of discount, & I'd rather not pay for 5 nights at the higher rates if I can prevent it. We can go anytime between mid-June, & the 1st week in Aug. Our DS starts back to school on Aug. 8th. The 5 nights can start & end on any day of the week. We've stayed at all 3 of the Universal hotels. We don't really want to stay at RPR. None of us liked it as good. We would consider PBH. (DH & I prefer PBH, but DS is a music junkie.) Does anyone have any suggestions for getting a little better rate? I would really appreciate any help you can offer.

APH rates havent come out for your dates (not sure if they will, it looks like the hotels are pretty booked up). I would try Loews and just plug in AAA rates in the code for different days and see what you get. Just an hour away I guess you could try FLO rate also. (I think thats the code, I'm not a resident). If it doesnt show any rooms on the Loews site, you can try going to the AAA web site and looking, they set aside some rooms there (i had to book thru AAA web site for my dates) Good Luck.

Thanks I'm off to get a calendar & start plugging in dates. I wish Loews site made it easier. Is there an easier site to use, when trying multiple dates & codes?
