I am getting shirts ready for our up coming GG at the end of this month. I got a wonderful design off the Dis from Cruiser 1969. My DW had her brother print out the design on to the transfer paper per the instructions, but tonight when I tried to iron on the design it would not take to the shirt. I did everthing that the instructions said to do and it would not stick to the shirt, I messed with it for a couple of minutes and realized that either the image is on the wrong side of the transfer paper, or the transferr paper is backwards(if this makes sence). We printed it on the side that is opposite the red lines like it stated, Then I placed the paper on the shirt image side up, and hit with the iron. Nothing happened except I wasted a transfer paper:mad: . I then tried it again with the Image side faceing the shirt and hit with the iron and it stuck??????But the Image is backwards ARRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH:headache: Does anyone have any ideas what went wrong, It said in the instructions "NOT" to reverse the image. But it looks like it would work the right way if I did reverse the image. What is going on. Please help me before I go nuts. Thanks.

Well, lets look at this situation. I am only 40 minutes away from you and if it wasn't so late, I would hope in my car and come to you:) But...since it's too late for me to do this, what color transfer sheet did you use? Dark or light? If it's light then you need to mirror image it. To do this, go to print, then go to media> select hp transfer paper or whatever type you are using, now, go down to printer preference>arrow down> select mirror image> highlight and then click the little box next to this and change it to YES click ok and then this will flip your print..Also, this will NOT show on the screen, but it will print the correct way. Once this is run, place it on the shirt and press with steady motion. You didn't need to remove the paper from the design did you? If so, carefully peel it off and then iron it on. But, I think you need to reverse the print. Try it, I know I wasted 3 sheets before my brain got in gear:) PM me if it doesn't work and i will try again:) Good luck...

We are or were as the case may be, using light transfer paper, wich when we got it did not relize you had to reverse or mirror the image to these. Last year we used the Dark transfer paper and had no problems at all. Just printed it and Ironed and wala it was done. Nope not this year, we did the same with the light transfer paper and now have 10 junk sheets of paper. My DW has since discovered what the problem was, and has decided to re-do them using the dark transfer paper. Thanks so much for your help NOAHDOVE and for the offer to come over to help. Thats what makes the DIS community so great. So hopefully I will be able to get most of the shirts done this weekend, and display them here on the boards for everyone to see. Again thanks for the help.

I will be waiting to see them:) At least you are closer to Wal-Mart than I am so that helps a dab:) Take lots of pictures while you are at Disney. I am taking my step-granddaughter and my 8 year old great nephew next August and I am so excited...my granddaughter doesn't know she is going...again, I will be waiting to see your shirts.
