We (myself, DH, DD3 and DS who will be 5 months) are sailing on the 12/27/03 Magic. I had planned to fly to Orlando on the 26th, take a towncar to the Radisson at the port and depart from there on the 27th. After looking at flight options and prices, we are going to have to fly down late on the 25th. Now, I don't know what my best options are. If we are going to be in Orlando for all of the 26th then I am thinking that we should go to one of the parks. We will need lodging for 2 nights before the cruise. Should we stay near the airport the first night, go to a park on the 26th and then go to the Radisson or is there a better option. And now I'm also confused as to what to do about transportation. Help!!! What should I do??

I had the same problem for our Sat. after Thanksgiving sailing (2002 cancelled...and now for 2003). We fly out of Chicago and didn't want to risk getting snowed in and miss the cruise. We booked 2 days prior and park passes and transfers included. 4 of us @ Beach Club was less than 700.00. We leave early Thurs. and arrive at WDW by noon. If it snows we still have 2 days to make the cruise. I'll bet by the time you pay for limos and 1 night Fri? it isn't much more for two nights at WDW. I let them handle the transfer issues. You could stay at a lesser resourt and save some $$$$. Just call DCL they will let you know. They didn't want to book just 1 night for us. Sometime they have a buy 2 and get 1 free depending on peak and off peak times. Thanksgiving is not on of those times. I'll bet Xmas isn't either.

Hi Ami! Based upon the ages of the children, I'd say your optimum theme park would be Magic Kingdom. Select any resort of your choosing. My preference is always The Wilderness Lodge, but as far as the Disney resorts are concerned they are all comfortable. Make reservations for a lunch at Cindarella's Royal Table. I'd also recommend dinner reservations at The Liberty Tree Tavern. The meals are terrific, the portions are ample and a number of the characters make appearances in Revolutionary War dress. Your 3-year-old will love it! I think the kids might be too young to appreciate The Hoop-De-Do Review, but perhaps other Disers have different thoughts.

Keep your town car service. For a reasonable additional price they will take you from the airport to the resort. Then they will pick you up at the resort and take you right to the ship.

Don't worry about transportation. You'll have a great time!
