We are bringing home a female golden retriever pup in 5 weeks, and I have been having the most awful time finding a name for her! I am a huge Disney fanatic, and would love to name her something related to Disney World. I was looking through The Haunted Mansion characters and didn't find any that I really liked, unfortunately. That is my favorite ride ever. But if anybody has any suggestions of names related to the parks, I would love to hear them!

Heres my list:

Aurora- Sleeping Beauty
Ariel- The Little Mermaid
Adelaide - The Aristocats
Jasmine- Aladdin
Anastasia- Anastasia
Alice-Alice in Wonderland
Wendy-Peter Pan
Penny- 101 Dalmations
Marie- The Aristocats
Marian-Robin Hood
Bianca- The Rescuers
Olivia- The Great Mouse Detective
Jenny- Oliver and Company
Ursula- The Little Mermaid
Belle- The Beauty and The Beast
Nala- The Lion King
Pochahontas- Pochahontas
Kekata- Pochahontas
Esmerelda- The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Meg- Hercules
Mulan-Mulan
Jane- Tarzan
Kala-Tarzan
ChiCha- The Emporers New Groove
Kida- Atlantis:The Lost Empire
Lilo- Lilo and Stitch
Molly- Home on the Range
Maggie- Home on the Range
Mary- Mary Poppins
Minnie- Mickey Mouse
Ada- Bugs life
Briar Rose- Sleeping Beauty
Tinkerbell - Peter Pan

First off, I absolutely LOVE golden retrievers! I have one! He's 7, Yogi. :) Anyway, i love golden puppies. Im super jealous right now (just not jealous of all the destruction she will probably do to things like shoes and coffee tables! ha!). Still cute thou.

Anyway, here are my suggestions:

I LOVE the name dole whip!
Also....

Nala (Lion King)
Cleo (Pinnochio)
Tinkerbelle (or just TINK) - love this name for a female golden!
Daisy
Lilo
Boo
Kona
Epcot
OR, what about "Disney"??? :thumbsup2

PS: PLEASE post pics of your cute furbaby!

Congrats on your new puppy! We brought home a puppy in June and like you wanted a Disney name for her, we named her Ellie ( from Up)

My immediate thoughts:

Lillian/Lilly: Homage to Mrs. Disney
Remi: Ratatouille. I know the name is traditionally male, but maybe the different spelling would make it more female?
Roo: Winnie the Pooh
Mara: Ode to Animal Kingdom Lodge

we have a Fantasia, a Lilly, a Belle, and a Disney I envy the " puppy breath" you will experience nothing sweeter ...ours are all old stinky dogs .

 Sooo true! I love sweet puppy breath! :lovestruc

I love the names Ellie & Remi as suggested by pp. Too cute!

Cute names too :thumbsup2 yep the puppy breath seems to vanish the day they turn 1 year old someone should figure out a way to bottle the scent

I really like Kona, suggested by a previous poster (it makes me think of not only the Poly, but just the beach, sun and fun in general-it makes me smile). I may be incorrect, but I thought I had heard/read, etc. that animals do best with names that end with a y/ie sound-like Ellie and Remi (also previously suggested).

Hopefully we will be getting a new lab puppy in the next couple of years (mostly for a companion dog for my youngest son), I would like a girl and I was thinking of the name 'Jessie' (it's a name he can pronounce-he's mostly non-verbal). Isn't there a Disney show called 'Jessie'? Although not very park oriented!

Congrats on the new puppy! Enjoy!

BTW-totally OT, I have not been on the boards since July 24, 2013; I totally can't believe it! I had to break myself away for a while, but I can't believe it's been ~6 months! I was on DisBoards almost every day!

I just want to say awwwwwww:love: We have a golden and he is 9 years old. The best dog ever! My vote would be: Daisy.

Thanks for all the replies! I still can't decide on one! There are so many I like, it's hard for me to decide.

And here she is, I just met her yesterday! She is the runt of the litter, so she is super tiny! (Also, excuse the aloof look on my face, I wasn't aware my husband was taking the picture haha)

She is a doll. She definitely looks like either a Nala, Daisy or Belle
