I need bubblegum help!

DH sat in a big wad of bubblegum at DS's swim meet this weekend. He got a lot of it off, but some gum has sealed itself to the denim of his new jeans. It looks terrible! What are some good methods for getting gum out of fabric? I don't think ice will work, since it's almost like it's part of the fabric by now.

Call the dry cleaners. Sometimes they have tips.

Goo-gone will get it out. It will leave a residue but that will wash with regular detergents.
