Ok when I asked DD(5) what she wanted for her 6th birthday she said, "I want to wake up at Walt Disney World on the morning of my birthday and I want to eat BBQ ribs for supper". Oh and being the pushover I am I said OK.

This will be the most expensive rack of ribs she will ever eat...What TS restaurant offers really good ones? I know we ate them at Flame Tree and they were really good, but I really want a sit down meal.

Please help as I have already promised her this, I told her I doubt she could get them at a princess meal and she was ok with that but wanted to do a character dinner that night as well. She is already going to do the tea party earlier in the day for her lunch.

Thanks a lot!!!

Just had an excellent rack of ribs at the House of Blues at DTD. Dry rub type - not moist - but very tasty.

The ribs and chicken at Trails End come out of the same kitchen as for the Hoop-De-Doo (but is a lot cheaper!) Then you could cap off the evening with the Chip and Dale campfire sing-along, or a wagon ride.

That said, the Hoop De Doo IS a good time.

I forgot to add that we will be on the dining plan...Can we go to House of Blues using the dining plan DH would LOVE that? I will also check out the reviews on Trails End...Thanks a lot!!

Don't want to use 2 TS on Hoop De Doo.

Definitely Whispering Canyon. Especially tell them it is her birthday and they will make a real fuss. They do not have the ribs on the menu as a separate item, but they are in the all-you-care-to-eat skillet. I called them and am expecting a call back, but I am checking to see if it would be possible to order the ribs only. I will post again after I hear back.

Check the menu for the Canyon Skillet and note that for children it is $8.79 and they will refill any or all items.

The best we've had on property have been at Boma - they're meaty, juicy, flavorful, and they fall off the bone. They are a bit spicy, though, so if your daughter doesn't like spicy food, she may not like those.

It's hard for me to name a second, since I'm picky about ribs and the ones on property aren't good in general. I've heard good things about the ones at HoB, though I don't know whether they're on the dining plan or not.

The ones at Whispering Canyon are ok, not the best and not the worst. The ones at Flame Tree have been the worst we've had on property, however. :/

cape may is not a character meal for dinner...

the best ribs we had on property were at boatwrights at POR... actually, it was our best all-around meal!

Here's another vote for Sci-Fi restaurant at MGM Studios......yummy ribs!!!

Another vote for Whispering Canyon. The scene will be great for her birthday too! It's a fun place, and the ribs are good.

I asked this in another thread but got no response as of yet. AT SCI- FI.. Do they seat high chair age children in the cars in a booster seat with a strap of some sort or do you have to sit in a totally different section? We wouldn't want to go if we couldn't sit in a car.

Cape may fare, Whispering Canyon Cafe

With the kids---WCC--it is a fun place!!

Nevermind about the high chair at Sci-Fi...Got an answer!!!

I have made an executive decision and I choose ......DA TA DA!!! DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!

Whispering Canyon ... the menu looks like we will all enjoy a meal there!!!!

Thanks for all your help..You guys and gals are the BEST!!!!
