My DH and I are taking his very young cousins to WDW in November. They are both interested in going to Bibidi Babidi Boutique, but we don't have any children and I'm not sure what they need...reservations? combs?

Please help! It will be their first time at WDW and I want it to be memorable {and stress-free for me!}. Any BBB advice you can give will be excellent and much appreciated!

Go to disneyworld.com. Click on "things to do", then "tours and special experiences", then "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique". Basic info and a phone number (407 WDW STYLE) are there. Reservations are a must. The CM on the phone will help you out. :)

There is a thread here on the boards here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1893384

My DD did this two years ago and had a ball. Look at the different packages beforehand and know what you're getting - it's not really cheap. But we really thought it was worth it for what we got. You don't need hair combs or anything - they'll provide what you need. The thread is really informative - check it out!

very young cousins -- how young is very young??
only reason I ask is because there is now an age limit on who can do BBB
I think it is 3-12 - so please check the age limit before letting them know - I would hate for you to have booked this & then them not get to do it

Not too young! They are 6 & 8. I guess they seem especially young to me because I don't have any children yet!

Thank you so much :)

OP, one thing I wanted to throw out to you since you don't have any kids is that the Disney princess dresses can be scratchy and itchy. If you have time and are so inclined, if you sew--make their dresses or if you're like me--a lousy seamstress, have someone make them for you or check out ETSY.

When DGD did this 2 years ago, her DM made her dress and it was so comfy--she wore it all day.

This time, she wants to do the Pirates League with her older brotherpirate:

Awesome idea! Thanks for letting me know that those costumes are itchy. We haven't spent a lot of time around children, so we're pretty clueless!

We took my granddaughter's dress from home, it was cheaper, not itchy and she was a delight:) Plus, that night after BBB we had dinner at 1900 Park Fare and Prince Charming asked her to dance:) That was so amazing and we were shocked that she stepped out to dance with him..we all had tears..as this was so special:) Mia kept her dress on all day and it was mighty warm/hot and she never complained one bit..good luck:)

We are taking our granddaughter in august, and they did tell me when making the reservation that she had to have her own hairbrush or comb when she came in. It is about $50 for just the hair if you take your own dress..or im sure some people dont do the dress at all..up to you.

I think we paid $54.00 and we had the dress. The $54 covers, hair, nails and makeup:) Yes, it up you if you have the little girl dress..But, just watching them is priceless...

Thank you all so very much for the hints! We've made appointments for both little ladies and they are very excited. They were very adamant about NOT dressing up {which kind of broke my heart}, so they are only getting their hair, nails, and makeup done. I'm hoping I can talk them into dressing up, but I kind of doubt it :(

Maybe you can find them a cute little sundress:) That way they will be "dressed" up and still be content and cool:)

if at all possible, take dresses from home, and to the park that day. After getting their hair and nails, etc done, they just might change their minds. Also, if they see other girls wearing princess dresses. IF they still don't want to, if you are staying on-site, send them back to your resort with your next gift shop purchase. Or stash them in a locker until you leave ; )

Book BBB immediately, they fill up very fast. There are two locations, Cinderella's Castle and DTD.

Personal opinion, I would not do BBB at DTD again. We had to take a DTD location and regretted it, it was a long bus ride to get there (we were staying at value) and then we had to get to MK, it ate up a huge portion of the day. Now other people do DTD and love it... If that is the only reservation you can get then just set expectations accordingly, i.e. that it will take a while to get there and done and you will be fine.

We just went at the beginning of June and we bought my 5 and 8 year old dresses at DTD. We didn't do BBB, I just fixed their hair the day they decided to wear their dresses. People are telling you to buy dresses locally because the Disney Park dresses are more expensive than what you can get at Target/Walmart. Just estimating... Target/Walmart 20-30 and DTD 50-65. I think the quality of the DTD dresses is pretty good and the ones we bought were lined and the itchy parts, embroidery basking etc, were covered so they did not make skin contact. My daughters also still play dress up all the time, so I can justify the cost, plus I am making them use them for Halloween dresses! It may not be worth the cost of Disney Park dresses if they are not into dress-up, and I see little girls in the inexpensive Target/Walmart dresses all the time and they look just as lovely and adorable as the more expensive ones.

DO NOT BUY THE PRINCESS SHOES, they are costume shoes and really no walking can be done for long in those.

You two are so awesome for taking those little girls they will have a fantastic time. They really are the perfect age.

There is a photo studio option at BBB and we did it the first time we went and thought the photos were excellent but we actually like the photos of the girls dressed in the parks even better.

i wanted to let you know that if you decide to buy the dresses ahead of time, do not get the ones from walmart, toys r us and target. Since you said the girls are 6 and 8 those dresses will not fit them. You will need to get the ones from the Disney store or get some at Halloween.
