We are having a little going away do for our interim minister sunday after service (new settled minister coming in Sept - we are so excited).
I am suposed to bring punch and I want something that is going to be easy to make (maybe even make in the punch bowl) and transport.

Any ideas???

TIA

Punch I always loved Is Hawiaian punch and sprite mixed with serbert scoops in it.

Just take couple 2 liters sprite and jugs of hawiaian and pour in punch bowl at church than spoon serbert into it.

Put two two litre bottles of pop (7-up or Sprite) into a punch bowl. Scoop 1 litre of sherbet into it-(any flavour-except rainbow, or it will turn this browny-green color!) It will froth up and be really pretty. It tastes really good, had a raspberry one last night at a bridal shower! (you can also add some frozen raspberries to it if you want.)

To the recipe that Albertan Mom just posted - you can add 2 quarts of kool-aid or Crystal light to match the flavor of sherbert you are using and a 46 ounce can of pineapple juice. That's how I make mine with the sherbert.

Is a non-sherbert recipe: equal parts white grape juice and ginger ale, then a splash of a colored juice (I usually use cran-apple), just until it turns a lovely shade of light red!

I was looking for one that didn't require sherbert or icecream. We have some lactose intolerant kids and it needs to be something they can have.

The White grape juice one sounds good.

We used to have someone here at work that made one with Pineapple orange juice, gingerale and a can of Apricot necter but I can't find the right proportions.

A favorite around here (especially when it is hot) is CranRaspberry, CranApple, or CranGrape concentrate and 7Up or Sprite. I think the CranTangerine would probably be good, too, but I haven't seen it in concentrate. You could even freeze berries in ice cubes or a ring to add more interest.

We used to do one that had a can of frozen concentrate each of:
lemonade (the regular small size)
orange juice (the one that makes 1/2 gallon)
pineapple juice (the one that makes 1/2 gallon)
fruit punch (it made about a 1/2 gallon)
2 liter ginger ale
2 oranges
2 lemons
Mix each with the amount of water it says to use. Add slices of orange and lemon.

We used to be able to get a frozen concentrate for fruit punch but can't get that any more. So we've just substituted regular Hawaiian Punch. I still use 64 oz of HP not the 46 oz of the regular sized can.

we do the hawaiin punch (with frozen hawaiin punch cubes to keep cold) along with sprite or 7-up and frozen strawberries (thawed).

We made this for 6th grade celebration:

46 oz cranberry juice cocktail
2 liter gingerale
46 oz pineapple juice
1 can lemonade concentrate

Try this and see what you think:
FROZEN SLUSH PUNCH
6 C Water
3 C sugar
1 large can frozen OJ
1 large can water
1 small can frozen lemonade
1 small can water
1/2 qt pineapple juice
3 or 4 ripe bananas (riper the better)
ginger ale (optional)
Boil water and sugar together for 3 mins then cool. Blend bananas w/lemon juice in blender until creamy or frothy in appearance. Mix remaining ingredients and then add to sugar water mixture and mix well. Pour into large jugs and freeze. Take out of freezer 3 to 4 hrs before serving. Add 1 qt of giner ale to each 1/2 qt of punch mix.

**Personal comments** This is a really easy punch to make. What I like about it is you can make it several days in advance and then when you need it just take it out of your freezer and allow to thaw some and serve it slushy. I pour the mixture into gallon jugs--like Sun tea jugs. I'm sure you could use milk jugs w/o a problem. You can add the giner ale if you want but don't have to. I like to spoon it out and just eat it like an Icee!

In 1984 I won first place in our local paper recipe contest w/this punch recipe. It's my favorite by far.

Good luck!
Karen

Thanks everyone!!

Those are all great recipes. Now I just need to pick one and go get the stuff at the store.

I knew you all would come up with good ones.
