I have current ressies for pop(rack rate), thought I have an AP and I am a fl. resident, there were no available rooms with discounts on these dates.

Unfortunatley I have to cancel my August trip and postpone for X-mas(better for me)....

Will Disney transfer the money I have paid for my August room only ressie to a new December ressie?

I called and made a Reservation for November while we were trying to decide 100% that our August one would not work out for us.

When I called back they transferred my deposit from the August reservation to the November reservation and then sent me a new email and hard copy confirmation.

Yes they will transfer the money to the new ressie. I have seen where they transfer no problem, and then some have credited back the credit card and then charge on the new ressie. It really depends on the CM you get. They recently changed the reservation system, but you should have any problem. And then when FL resident and AP rates come out (if they do for Christmas) then you can apply to that ressie.

Right, The CM that I spoke with said that if I had just modified the first reservation they could just transfer the money over but since I had made a new one, she put me on hold and had to check and they were able to do it for me still.

The only thing that happened was that the Res # from the cancelled vacation became the number for the new reservation.
